I grinned arrogantly, keeping my eyes on her when I lifted my wrist and extended my fangs. After they pierced my skin and the dots of blood appeared, her gaze lowered. I buried my face in the curve of her neck and dragged my tongue over her thundering pulse before I let my teeth sink in at the exact moment her lips closed over my wrist.

We pulled at the same time and her blood flowed over my tongue. That shit was pure perfection. Warm, sweet and her. Heat blazed through my veins until I felt her heartbeat align with mine. Everything she experienced in this moment was in me. Her acceptance, her need, her declaration of mine, mine, mine. Every single time her heart beat, I felt the promise moving between us, reflecting off each other.

Uri began rocking her hips more aggressively and I started thrusting from below. She moaned against my wrist, taking another pull and our bond snapped into place, pushing a wave of pleasure that moved between us. It rolled through her body then mine, through a continuous loop. Uri trembled and jerked violently against me until the feelings transitioned to low waves of her pussy pulsing on my dick.

“Mine,” I roared.

Her eyes were on me again when she removed her mouth from my wrist. Her tongue pushed between her lips and swiped over them before she smiled and gave me her voice.

“Mine.”

That one word meant I would tear this entire world down behind this woman and there wasn’t going to be a damn person who would be left standing. I would never fucking play about mine and Uri was mine!

Chapter

Ilocked my store and damn near jumped out of my skin when I turned and almost collided with a body. My palm landed flat against my chest as I exhaled a breath to get my heart rate under control.

“Shit, sorry. I thought you saw me through the glass,” Leigh said, looking concerned.

Baby, you good?

I’m fine, get out of my head.

It had been a few weeks and I still was getting used to being so in tune with Kyron. Having him in my head, with all my emotions readily accessible, was interesting.

If you don’t want me in your head, then bring your fine ass to the house so I can be in your pussy instead.

Would you stop? I’m not alone.

Who you with, Uri?

A last minute customer who’s looking at me like I’m crazy since I’m staring at her not speaking because I’m talking to you.

Go handle your business then.

“Sorry, what were you saying?”

She smiled and arched a brow. “You’re a vampire?”

I frowned and she pointed to my neck. “Kinda hard to hide that. I noticed it before but now it looks a little different.”

My bond mark.

I wasn’t about to discuss my personal life with Leigh but also wouldn’t be rude. “Did you need something?”

She nodded, shifting her weight from foot to foot before she dropped her eyes. “I wanted to apologize about Micah.”

“For what?” I asked, keeping my expression neutral.

In the couple weeks since Micah had been to Sweet Inferno, nothing came of it. I was anxious for days after, assuming someone would start asking questions, but they never did.

Leigh moved closer. “I know he came here. He told Reece he was coming here to make you remove the curse you put on me then he came back to campus all beat up. He was freaked out when I asked if he went to Sweet Inferno and kept saying he didn’t want him to snatch his heart from his chest. I’m assuming the him Micah kept referencing is your vampire.”

I wouldn’t confirm or deny.

“You don’t need to apologize for Micah’s actions. Are you happy?”
