He got the message. He worked at me until every nerve in my body was tingling and burning, until I was soaring and cresting over his fingers, losing myself in the flood.

With a satisfied growl, Kael came up for air. He stood and palmed his glistening, swollen shaft, his hand curling around my jaw to force my eyes to his. “Ivy, I need you to look at me while you suck my cock.”

Panting from my orgasm and eager to please my wolf, I dropped to my knees in a rush, eyes up and mouth open.

He positioned himself at my mouth, his gaze predatory. I made a pleading noise, my hands already reaching for him. Behind me, Lucien lifted my hips, my knees no longer on the ground, and positioned me on his lap. I could feel his cock, hard like steel, pressing against the base of my spine.

“Be a good girl, little red,” Lucien whispered into my ear, his hands lifting me into position, guiding his length into my aching pussy. “Choke on Kael’s cock while you writhe on top of mine.”

My hips dropped down onto Lucien as he thrust upward, filling me. I opened my mouth as wide as I could to take Kael’s girth, my hands gripping the base of his knot as I began to lick up and down the sides, losing myself in the sensations. I started to suck on his cock as if my life depended on it, while Lucien was thrusting up and down, making me ache and tingle. This was my wildest dream manifested. My warlocks, my alphas, my men. They pushed me over the edge, stretching me and claiming me as I took everything they had to give. The edges of my eyesight blackened with the force of my orgasm.

Kael roared at the same time Lucien did. They both expanded, their release pouring into me and over me, filling me until I felt whole. I swallowed what I could of Kael’s heat as he started rubbing my clit and Lucien kept rocking against me, edging me toward a second, final release.

This orgasm stiffened my body from the inside out, burning me like liquid fire, like no other orgasm before. I spasmed and twitched on Lucien’s lap, echoing their guttural groans with my own. Every nerve was electric and white hot. Eventually I slid onto the couch cushions, satisfied and replete, where we rested for a heartbeat, our breathing the only sound in the room.

Kael and Lucien recovered first, beginning to tidy the wreckage around us, but the air shifted abruptly. A low and rolling rumble grew outside, unnatural and vibrating through the glass and concrete of the penthouse. The safe bubble of our shared intimacy shattered as the clouds above darkened, swirling in shades of violet and black that should not have existed.

Lucien’s amber eyes darted to the windows. “Kael,” he murmured, his voice low and serious. “Look at Ivy.”

Kael turned, his dark eyes widening. I was no longer seated. My arms were stretched wide, the shard clutched in my right hand. The blue light radiating from it was unbearably bright, illuminating the room with a ghostly hue. My hair floated, electrified by the energy, and my toes hovered centimetres above the carpeted floor.

A low, vibrating hum emanated from my chest, resonating in their own bodies. My eyes were glimmering with raw, divine power.

“Ivy!” Kael’s heart was hammering in a mix of awe and possessive desire, but neither of them moved toward me. I was radiant and terrifying, a beautiful goddess of raw and unrestrained power.

The storm outside clawed at the penthouse. The windows shivered before exploding inward as if the building were under attack. Whirling colours of violet and silver spun chaotically around the room, freezing mid-air as my pulsing light expanded to meet the maelstrom.

I let my body ignite like a beacon. I forced the blue energy to radiate outward in a crushing wave. The whirling storm faltered and then shattered as I smashed my power into it. I seized the magical tempest and hurled it back out through the broken windows. Rain and debris were expelled by my hand, a godly command that left the penthouse still. The sexual tension from earlier had fused with adrenaline and something sacred. I could feel the shard responding to the intent of the two alpha warlocks in the room. Their presence grounded me, acting as the anchor I needed to stay sane.

“Steady, little red,” Lucien whispered, his voice urgent. “Focus on us.”

“Hold onto it.” Kael’s voice was a deep rumble. “We’ve got you.”

The storm outside screamed in fury but faltered, swirling backward as my energy expanded. With a final and shimmering burst, the maelstrom was expelled. I floated down slowly, my toes brushing the carpet. My body hummed, exhausted and electric.

“It was them,” I whispered, the name tasting like ash. “The Storm Legion. The Council’s whispers… they weren’t ghost stories. They were a warning.”

Lucien rushed to my side, his hands hovering over mine as if afraid to touch the raw energy still sparking on my skin. “It has to be them,” he murmured. “This felt like a frantic snatch-and-grab. They were desperate to get to the shard before we could anchor it.”

Kael was already at the shattered windows, his silhouette a dark and jagged line against the bruised sky. “The shard did this,” he growled, his voice vibrating with protective fury. “Your power did not hide us, Ivy. It acted as a flare. It dragged the fight right to our doorstep.”

I tried to stand, to argue that I had saved us, but the adrenaline crashed over me with the force of a tidal wave. The room spun, and the floor tilted. The last thing I felt was Kael’s strong arm sweeping under my knees, anchoring me as I fell.

“She is out,” I heard Kael growl, his voice sounding like it was coming from underwater. “Lucien, we need to scrub this place now. If the Storm Legion is bold enough to hit an alpha's sanctuary, they’re not going to stop at one attempt. We can’t leave a single trace.”

And then, blessed blackness.

Aftermath and Strategy

The sheer force of the magic finally dissipated, leaving me adrift in a thick, grey fog. I could feel the carpet beneath me, my hair a tangled mess while one hand still curled instinctively around the shard. My body had shut down from the strain of acting as a conduit for a collapsing star.

My eyes were closed, but I felt the world shifting around me in a dreamlike haze. I sensed Kael and Lucien near me, two massive, radiating anchors of heat in the cold room. A heavy, calloused hand cupped the back of my neck, lifting my head just enough to tuck a rolled coat beneath me.

“Shit,” Kael muttered, his rough voice carrying a rare, jagged edge of panic. He hesitated, his thumb brushing over my temple with an unexpected, awkward gentleness. “I shouldn't have barked at you, little witch. You held the damn line. I was just... fucking furious they got that close.”

It was as close to an apology as a warlock like Kael would ever get—gruff, reluctant, and thick with unspoken fear for me.

“We have to fix this,” Kael continued, his tone hardening again as he looked toward Lucien. “If the Storm Legion is using that level of atmospheric pressure, the Council has stopped playing games. They’re out for blood, and they’re coming straight for her.”
