“Well…” She shrugs as a grin starts to tug at the corners of her mouth. “Then you should probably go find your wife.”

My face darkens as I turn back to her. “Excuse me?”

“Your wife,” Bella says with a shit-eating grin on her face. “You should probably grab her for the family photos.”

I step closer to her, my eyes narrowing. “But you’re⁠—”

“Nooope,” she beams up at me. “I’m not.”

Without another word, she turns and starts to walk away.

“Bella—”

“Pro tip!” she cackles over her shoulder. “Always read documents before you sign them!”

I whirl and storm over to my family.

“Let me see that,” I growl, tugging the manilla folder containing our marriage license out from under Cenzo’s arm. I fling it open, my pulse thudding as my eyes slide down the document to the names at the very bottom.

What.

The.

Actual.

Shit.

“Who the fuck is Vesper Cartwright!?” I yell after Bella as she skips out of the room.

BELLA

Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans.

As it turns out, despite my best efforts, Damiano and I are legally married.

Apparently, under New York law, the marriage license isn’t the magical thing that makes you married. The important part is standing in front of a legally authorized officiant and a witness and declaring that you take each other as spouses—which, annoyingly, Damiano and I did.

So, yay me.

I committed marriage.

Possibly a touch of fraud. Definitely some dickishness.

But mostly marriage.

“Really? Nothing?”

I startle out of my fantasies of burying Damiano alive and then filing for spousal abandonment, or maybe straight up Gone-Girling his ass, when Kirill leans in close to my face.

“What?” I grumble.

He sighs and then gestures meaningfully with his eyebrows at the phone he’s holding up. When my gaze slides to the image on the screen I instantly wrinkle my nose.

“What the fuck is that?”

He grins widely. “That, my friend, is the Dragon Stallion XXL, complete with four interior vibrating zones and cum tube.”
