My heart swelled when I stepped through my front door to find Ryan reading on the couch.
“Stop right there,” he ordered, placing his book facedown on the table.
“I’m not dirty, I swear!” Still, I stayed in place while Ryan stalked toward me, dark eyes raking over my body.
“Oh, that’s exactly it—you’re not dirty enough. So, you’re going to stand there while I do what I do best.”
“And what is that?” I asked, though the hunger in his eyes practically spelled out his intentions. His tongue darted out to wet his lips, and my knees buckled. I let my back hit the door before they completely gave out.
Ryan lunged, crushing his mouth to mine. Moaning into the kiss, I didn’t waste a single second. My tongue speared through his lips, chasing his. When he pulled back, he spoke slowly, damn near growling as he sank to his knees.
“Voy a usar mi lengua para hacerte gritar tan fuerte, que los vecinos vengan corriendo a ayudarte, pero tú estás demasiado ocupado para responderles.”
By the time he finished his sentence, he was tugging at my zipper. I threaded a hand through his hair, head thumping against the closed door. Lips on my bare thighs, and I groaned.
“Fuck, I have no idea what you just said but I don’t even care.”
“Shut up and I’ll show you.”
My heart sank when I woke up alone the next morning. Logically, I knew Ryan couldn’t stay over every night—his job just didn’t allow for it. I sat up, exhausted and sore from the previous night’s activities, but the sight of my clothes strewn about the room made me smile.
I’d chosen to phase my way back into the garage, but that was made even slower by my wandering mind. It found every second it could to daydream. Every time my phone vibrated, my heart raced without even looking at the screen. I’d been tripping, stumbling, and dropping things all morning.
“Dude, where’s your head at today?” Charlie asked me at the end of the day.
“You do not want to know the answer to that.”
“I’ll take your word for it.”
She left the office, and I sat at the computer to respond to emails. I fell into a rhythm and didn’t even look up when I heard a soft knock on the office door.
“It’s open,” I muttered without taking my eyes off the screen.
The door cracked open, but it was the person’s voice that caught my attention. “Hey you.”
My eyes widened, and I rushed to slam the door shut. Ryan moved in for a hug, but I stopped him with a hand on his chest. “What are you doing here?” I asked. “We talked about this, it’s against the rules. How’d you get in anyway?”
“Charlie let me in,” he whispered. “I know we agreed that I wouldn’t come here unless I needed to, but I felt so guilty leaving you last night. I wanted to hear your voice.”
Ryan tickled his fingertips over my stomach, and I felt my defenses lowering. “Mm, you could have called.”
“I could have, but that doesn’t give me the satisfaction of seeing your face when I tell you haven’t stopped thinking about you all day—especially in the shower.”
“The shower?” My cock punched against my zipper.
“Mmhmm…” Ryan’s eyes sparkled, lips quirking into that grin I’d grown to love. “Now can I get the kiss I came here for?”
I hesitated, gnawing on my bottom lip but before I could respond, Ryan dropped his hand and moved for the door. “You know what, you were right. I shouldn’t have come. I can see how scared you are. I’m sorry.”
The door opened a crack before I slammed it shut again. A smart person would have locked it. “No. Come here.”
I wrapped my arm around him and spun, backing him up against the desk and winding our legs together. “You’re fucking irresistible,” I growled.
A low, rumbling laugh came from Ryan before he leaned in and claimed what he wanted.
Oh, this was so worth it.
I was so swept up in the kiss, that I didn’t hear the bell over the door, nor the shouting leading up to the office door flying open.
