"Name." Anton spat blood.

"I don't have one." My fist connected again.

"Viking." Marek this time, closer.

I could hear Anton's heartbeat, weakening, but I didn't care.

"NAME!" I roar raising my fist again.

"I heard something!" My fist stopped, Anton gasped desperately.

"What?"

"There was another name." I tightened my grip hoping that I would finally get the shooters name.

"What fucking name?"

"I don't know who he is." I pulled him closer at that.

"Try me." I say menacingly.

"Malakai." Everything inside me stopped, behind me, Marek went completely silent. Kosta pushed away from the wall. Even Stefan reacted. I stared into Anton's bloodied face.

"What did you say?"

"Malakai."

"No."

"I swear." I shook him once to make sure the fucker was awake enough to know what he was saying.

"Malakai is dead."

"I don't know what to tell you!"

"He's been dead for two fucking years."

"I heard his name!" My fingers tightened around his throat.

"From whom?"

"Ceasar's pe…people about two months ago. There was a shipment with military weapons and… silver ammunition, explosives. They said it was being moved for Ceasar…And Malakai?" Anton hesitated. My fist drew back.

"WAIT!" he cried

I froze.

"They said the prince had returned." A chill moved through the room, not fear, but something worse. I lowered my hand.

"What exactly did they say?" Anton swallowed, I saw the droop of his shoulders, the sign that he had finally decided to tell us everything he knew, the end of his control.

"That Ceasar wasn't acting alone." My muscles tensed.

"Keep talking."

"They said the old alliance had been restored. That the prince was gathering his houses again." Fucking impossible, Malakai was dead, I'd seen the aftermath of that war. We all had. Roman was going to lose his fucking mind if this was true.
