Draugr moved instantly. “I'll call Dragan.”
“Call everyone.”
“Everyone?”
“EVERYONE.”
Bryn slapped my chest. “Not everyone!”
“You're giving birth!”
“I know!”
“Someone should fucking know!”
“The entire house does not need to watch!”
“I didn't say watch!”
Draugr was already on his phone. “Dragan. Clinic. Now.”
He looked at Bryn. “Yes. Now.”
We were moving before he finished. I carried her through the hall, fast, maybe too fast because Bryn grabbed my shoulder. “Slow down.” She gasps out.
“I need to get you there.”
“I'd like to arrive without you bouncing the babies out in the corridor!” I immediately slowed, barely.
“Sorry angel.”
Another contraction hit, her entire body tensed in my arms. I stopped walking my body tensing with worry. “Bryn?”
She buried her face against my neck. “Keep moving.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
“You sound hurt.”
“I am in labour, Viking.” Right…Fuck. I started moving again. Guards appeared from everywhere. Someone opened the doors, someone else cleared the corridor. I could hear Draugr behind us. Then Lucien.
“Is it happening?”
“Yes,” Draugr replied.
“Now?”
“No, Lucien, next fucking Tuesday.”
“Fuck you.”
Volken's voice joined them. “What happened?”
“Water broke.”
“Where?”
