Dragan looked between us. “I hate this family.” Lucien started laughing at his words but I didn't care. Viking tried moving toward me but his legs failed again.

My heart lurched. “Viking!”

“I'm fine.”

“You can't stand!” I whispered, but he heard.

“I can.”

Roman shook his head looking exhausted. “No, you fucking can't.”

“Then carry me.” At his words every brother stared at him but Viking only glared.

“What?” Draugr's mouth twitched.

“You want us to carry you?”

“Say another fucking word and I'll kill you.”

“I haven't said anything.”

“Your face did.”

Volken moved before Viking could argue further, his one arm went around his back. Roman took the other side and together they practically carried him across the room. Viking hated every second, I could tell.

The moment they reached me, I grabbed him. Carefully, slowly his arms came around me. Everything inside me collapsed as I buried my face against his chest. He smelled wrong, like medicine, blood and antiseptic but underneath it was him. My Viking. Alive. His face pressed into my hair as I felt his entire body shake.

“I'm sorry.” I froze as his voice broke against my temple. “I'm so fucking sorry.”

I pulled back and whispered. “No.”

His eyes moved over my face then down to my stomach. His hand covered it instantly. “Baby?”

“Fine.”

His eyes closed as he grunted. “Thank fuck.” His forehead dropped against mine and repeated. “The baby is fine.” Then he breathed as his eyes opened. “You?”

“I'm okay.”

Behind him, nobody said anything but Viking noticed, his gaze sharpened. “What aren't you telling me?”

“Nothing.”

“Bryn.” I looked toward the brothers at his question. Lucien suddenly found the ceiling fascinating, Volken looked away, Roman's expression hardened, Draugr had the decency to look guilty.

Viking followed my gaze his voice hardening. “What happened?”

I sighed. “Nothing much, I fainted.”

His entire body went rigid around me. “What?”

“I'm fine.”

“When?”

“When you lost consciousness.”

His eyes flashed. “Why?”
