3. No lying to him or to herself.
4. No putting herself down.
5. No disobeying him.
6. No putting her health or safety at risk.
7. Must always tell him about any threat.
“Don’t you think that number five is, I don’t know, a bit general?” she said.
“I think it’s perfect,” he told her. “Disobey me and you get spanked.”
“But what if I don’t agree with what you’re telling me to do?”
“Why wouldn’t you agree with me?” he said. “I’m always right.”
“Daddy, you’re not always right.”
“Of course I am. Name one time I’ve been wrong.”
She huffed out a sigh. “I don’t know. I can’t even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday.”
“Nothing. You were asleep,” he told her. “Because you’d just been caught up in a house fire.”
“Oh, yeah. Still, I’m sure you’ve been wrong at some stage.”
“Unlikely,” he said.
“Oh, wait. You were wrong about not having feelings for me, and about not being a Daddy.” She gave him a triumphant look.
“That wasn’t me being wrong,” he said. “I was just taking my time to come to the right conclusion.”
“You know, no one likes a know-it-all,” she said huffily.
“Just as well you love me then, huh?”
Yeah, or she might have strangled him by now.

“Do you want to play a game of hide-and-seek?” Aimee asked.
“Hide-and-seek in here?” Ammo glanced around the cabin.
“Well, no, I was thinking we could play outside. Have we got enough flashlights? We could play Flashlight Tag.”
She searched around in cupboards for some flashlights, finding a couple.
“Maybe Webb would want to join us,” she suggested. “Actually, no, maybe he would think that was weird.”
“He wouldn’t think it weird,” Ammo told her. “Nothing about you is weird. But it’s too late for a game of hide-and-seek. It’s time for bed.”
“No,” she cried. “I don’t want to go to bed. It’s early. Let’s play.”
He gave her a stern look. “Bed.”
She gave him one back. “Play.”
