“There are perks.”

“Like the finger sandwiches.” I finish one and grab another as Theo laughs. “And the parking. For you anyway.” In the distance I can just spot his Lambo occupying the best spot in the VIP lot.

“It does feel good being number one,” he says. “Now I just have to keep it through the first Challenger race next weekend.”

“There are things you could adjust.”

He squints into the sun as I tell him the idea I’ve been working on since my talk with Megan.

“You think that’d make a difference?” he asks when I’ve finished.

I pull up my phone and open a map of Circuit of the Americas, the Austin F1 track. “A few tweaks can shave a lot of time off. Enough time to ensure you qualify on the front row. If you can start first, you should get off the line faster than Jamie. Then a few quick corners and he’s eating your dust. What?” I prompt as I look up to see Theo staring at me.

“Jamie?” he repeats, amused.

I shake my head. “Jameson. Obviously.”

Theo and I have chemistry. Forget whatever pen-stealing, door-holding Jenny Han bullshit had me stealing glances at his brother in the library.

And as for the fantasies…

Yeah. Forget the fuck out of those.

Theo shifts onto his knees, his eyes dropping to my mouth. “You have something. Right here.”

There’s a moment where I register what he’s about to do, but only one. Just long enough for my lips to tingle under his stare, for my stomach to knot.

Then he presses his mouth to mine.

He’s warm and assured, the casual confidence of his lips sending sparks of desire through me.

It’s sexy, in the way that beach days and bikinis are sexy.

He tips my face up with his fingers, making me open under him. I suck in a surprised breath.

Whatever money I’d have bet that Theo Ashford was a good kisser? Should’ve doubled it.

Every slide of his mouth over mine makes me want more. I’m leaning in, arching my body to press closer.

“Better?” I murmur against his lips, my breath uneven.

Theo stares up at me through his lashes, his grin lazy and satisfied. His palms splay across my hips.

“Not yet.”

He tugs me off-balance until I land in his lap, straddling him. My breath catches at the feel of him pressed between my thighs.

We’re in the middle of the quad in broad daylight and the expression on his face says he couldn’t care less. Maybe I don’t care, either.

He kisses me again, one hand sinking into my hair while the other slides down to my ass.

His tongue teases mine until I’m dizzy, grabbing the front of his shirt to stay upright.

I kiss him back until there’s no room in my head for anyone else.

“Can you give me a ride home?” Megan asks as we wrap up our final class. “I told Raj he could borrow my car tonight.”

“You’re a good person.”
