"The view from this side is better.” His words rolled over me, the deep timbre settling low in my belly, my thighs pressing together as heat crawled up my neck. I might as well have been standing naked before him.

I swallowed hard, suddenly aware of how isolated we were on this rooftop terrace, yet how exposed. A resident of any one of the surrounding buildings could glance our way. The distant chatter of villagers echoed up from the street below.

Sebastian knelt before me, his expensive trousers contacting the weathered tiles of the terrace floor. The sight of him on his knees, looking up at me with those dark eyes, made my breath catch.

There was nothing submissive in his posture. Even from below, he exuded dominance.

The contrast between power and position sent a dangerous thrill through me and brought liquid heat between my thighs.

"What are you doing?" I whispered.

I clutched the edge of my chair, knuckles white.

"You know what I'm doing.” His hands slid up my calves, beneath my dress, fingers tracing patterns on my skin that made me shiver. "Appreciating beauty. As I said, some things deserve to be worshipped."

His fingers found a sensitive spot behind my knee. "We're in public. Aren’t you worried someone might see?”

Even as I asked, the idea gave me an illicit spark of pleasure.

"Let them see," he growled. "Let them know who you belong to."

"I don't belong to anyone," I responded, just to see his eyes darken at my challenge.

"We both know that's not true, piccola."

His hands reached my knees, gently urging them apart.

I grasped his wrists. "Fine, but what if someone hears us...you know...?"

His smile turned wicked. "Then you'll just have to be quiet, won't you?"

CHAPTER 20

SABRINA

My head fell back as his fingers traced higher, finding the edge of my panties. The danger of discovery only heightened every sensation, setting my nerves on fire.

"This is insane," I whispered, even as I shifted forward in my seat, giving him better access.

"Tell me to stop," he challenged, inching my panties down my thighs. "Say the word, and I will."

The power he gave me in that moment was intoxicating…all the more for its rarity. Usually he was the one with all the power—the power to take.

I could end this with a single word.

I didn’t.

Instead, I leaned into the madness. “No. Don’t stop!”

The cool air against my exposed skin made me gasp, a sound that became a muffled cry as Sebastian's mouth found me. His tongue tormented me without mercy, claiming me with each devastating stroke. My hips bucked against him, my body no longer my own to control.

My fingers threaded through his hair, clutching so tightly I must have hurt him, but he only groaned against my core, the vibration shooting straight through me.

The bottle of Cavalieri wine sat forgotten beside plates of barely touched food. The mountain view blurred as my eyes lost focus.

He pulled back just enough to look up at me, his eyes black with desire, his mouth glistening as he shot me a knowing smirk.

Church bells rang out in the distance, and the sound of footsteps grew closer. Someone was coming up the stairs to the tower.
