Jordie smelt like whiskey and was covered in red liquid.

Liquid I’m fairly certain is blood.

She looked weak.

She could barely speak.

All the things she would absolutely hate me telling them. All the things that made me want to commit arson right there and then.

I think my father is running a cult.

We need to get out of this town.

All the things that sound utterly insane.

Me: Yeah. Jordie isn't feeling well

Blake: Isn't feeling well or have you annoyed her again? -laughing emoji-

My stomach clenches.

Tell them what happened. They’ll help.

They’ll help, but they’ll get caught up in this fuckery.

Me: Ha ha -eye roll emoji-

Lacey: When next?

Lacey: I'm getting impatient now. Don't make me go to Heath.

My head is swimming with anger as I delete the nude selfie she sends me and I lock my phone and slide down the door, wanting to wash my eyeballs out.

“Do something!” Lacey growls, grabbing my hand and pressing it to her breast.

“I cccan’t, you’vee given me t-too much,” I mumble as the room goes dark because I can’t keep my eyes open. “L-leave.”

Fuck off out of my thoughts.

I thought Jordie had been in her room since this morning, I heard her rummaging through her drawers. So why did I see her walking into her room, looking like she’s just been in a fight? Something isn’t right.

Obviously.

I glide the ball of my tongue bar along the roof of my mouth.

All I want to do is break down this fucking door and demand she tell me everything that fucking happened, but this new Jordie is a force to be reckoned with. She won’t tell me a damn thing and I would sooner die trying.

Vivian and Heath did this. I saw them leave with Dorrian not long ago, so there’s no chance of me chasing them down to demand answers, and I can’t leave her like this.

I hear the shower running before my phone pings again.

Ash: Did you hear Jake, Chris and Tom went missing last night?

Ash: Reckon your dad should involve the police? People are going missing left right and fucking centre

Me: He’d probably rather sacrifice his first born than do that -skull emoji-

That’s a true statement if I’ve ever wrote one.
