“Words, last time I saw you, you had plenty of them stored in that pea-sized brain of yours.”
I have to fight back the urge to laugh. I love her fire.
“Yes. Gianna.”
She flicks the safety off her Glock and presses it against his temple. He closes his eyes. “Now, apologize.”
“I’m sorry,” Tomasso whispers, staring down at the ground.
She smiles and taps his cheek. “Good boy. It isn’t so hard not to be a cunt, is it?”
He shakes his head.
“Now, get inside, scope it out and then position yourself somewhere out of my sight, because the longer I look at you, the harder it’s getting not to pull the trigger,” she spits.
Her security detail all tail off behind Tomasso, leaving me staring at my wife in awe. Her ability to shut a man down is impressive. She was born to lead.
“Dom, go in there and make sure your lover boy isn’t setting up a bomb or something ridiculous to try and kill me. Why does father keep sending him?”
Dom’s eyes snap to mine, then his sister. Her eyes go wide. “Oh, shit. I’m sorry, Dom.”
Okay. I did not see that coming. Dom was, or is, with Tomasso. And Gianna thinks I might have an issue with that?
“You’re good, I ain’t got a problem with anyone's preferences,” I tell him with a nod.
He glares at his sister.
“What? It slipped. A bit like how your dick slipped into Tomasso’s ass?”
I cover my face with my hands, but it doesn’t hide my laughter.
Dom heads towards the barn.
“Did you think I’d have an issue with your brother being gay?”
She opens her mouth. Snaps it shut. I’m nervous about her answer. Because what will she think about me if she knew my past?
“No. I hadn’t thought about it like that. Dom just… isn’t out yet. To my father, anyway. So we have to keep it that way.”
I nod. “Secret is safe with me.”
The rumble of the motorcycle engines fills the air, and on cue, my guys surround the barn. All heavily armed. All looking like they’d kill anyone in front of them.
“I brought us a little extra protection,” I lean down and whisper.
“A little?”
“Always remember, G. I’m a very resourceful man, and I do anything to keep people I care about safe,” I explain, losing myself in her dark eyes.
She nods as the bikes approach. The guy at the front with the big dick motorcycle stops first, kicks out the stand, and takes off his helmet, shaking out his blonde, greasy long hair.
The rest follow, but he’s already on his way to Gianna, boots crunching on the gravel.
“Levi,” she greets him.
“Gianna Milano,” he drawls out, his eyes scanning her curves.
My fists clench in response.
