“Yeah?” Gavin asked.
“Yeah.” Dom walked toward him. “Unless you’ve changed your mind in the last ten seconds.”
Gavin reached for his hips and pulled him close. “Not a chance.”
Their mouths met before Dom could answer, and Gavin kissed him slowly. Dom’s hands slipped beneath his shirt, and Gavin’s stomach tightened under the warm sweep of his palms. Dom broke the kiss, and Gavin followed him for an inch before catching himself and loosening his grip on Dom’s waist.
“You okay?”
Dom tilted his head and stared at him. “Come upstairs with me.”
Gavin’s hands tightened at his waist. “You sure?”
“Yes.” Dom held his gaze. “I want you in my bed. I want all of it, if you do.”
Heat swept through Gavin so quickly it left him lightheaded, but he didn’t move.
“Dom, you don’t have to—”
“I know,” Dom said. “But I’ve wanted you since before you backed me against the sink, and I’m tired of stopping when neither of us wants to.”
Gavin felt his restraint snap, and he kissed Dom hard enough to send him back a step. Then Gavin forced himself to stop and rested their foreheads together. Dom took his hand and threaded their fingers together before leading him upstairs. At the bedroom door, Dom stopped, and Gavin’s pulse kicked hard. He hadn’t been inside this room since before Dom moved in.
Dom turned back to him, and Gavin’s heart stopped at the nervousness on his face. “Hey,” he said quietly. “We don’t have to do this tonight.”
“I want to,” Dom said before Gavin had finished his sentence. He hesitated. “It’s just… It’s been a long time, and I’ve been thinking about this for way too long.”
“Same. On both counts.” Gavin stepped closer and rested his hands on Dom’s hips. “I have been thinking about it since you climbed into my lap.”
Surprise flashed across Dom’s face. “That was weeks ago.”
Gavin chuckled. “I’m aware.”
“You’ve been very patient.”
“I’ve been slowly losing my mind.”
Dom laughed quietly, then caught Gavin’s shirt and pulled him across the threshold. Gavin closed the door until it was only open a crack, and when he turned back, Dom was watching him.
“I’m serious though. We don’t have to do anything because of what we said downstairs,” Gavin said.
Dom closed the distance between them. “I know.”
“And if she wakes up—”
“We stop.” Dom flattened both palms against Gavin’s chest. “I know that too.”
“I just need you to be sure.”
“Gavin.” Dom’s expression softened even as heat flared in his eyes. “I bought condoms and lube nine days ago. They’re in my nightstand drawer. I’m sure.”
He glanced toward the nightstand. “Nine days?”
“I regret telling you that.”
“I’m trying to understand why I’ve spent nine days going home.” Gavin laughed as Dom hooked his fingers into Gavin’s belt loops and pulled him closer.
“I was waiting for you to stop asking if I was sure every time you touched me and for you to ask me something useful, like what I want,” Dom said.
