I almost laugh, wondering what the fuck he’s going to do if we aren’t in and out, but I don’t say that. I’m not here for anything other than my job today. Tomorrow is a different story, but today it’s just for this.

I hope we’ll be able to come back and get our bikes. I don’t ask him that, though. Instead, I jerk my chin in his direction.

He smirks before he speaks, answering the unspoken question. “When you come back, you can switch out the truck for your bikes. Nobody will touch them.”

He answers my unasked question, which is good. Then he turns and walks back to his shack. I watch him move around in there. Then the gate opens, and we ride through. I don’t bother looking around or trying to find my way. I know where I’m going because there is a big white plane with its lights on waiting for us.

So I head straight for that.

Once we’re close enough, I park my bike and kill the engine before I throw my leg over the side and stand, stretching my back when I do. I’m a bit stiff from the ride, or maybe it’s from all the sex in a short period of time.

Taking my phone out of my pocket, I look down at the screen. I shared my number with Keely and saved hers in my phone before I left, and I’m not sure why, but I expect to see a message from her. I’m disappointed when my screen is blank. There’s nothing. I shouldn’t be disheartened.

“You good?” Hippie calls out as he walks up beside me.

Turning to him, I give him a grin. “I’m good,” I murmur before shoving my phone in my cut’s inner pocket.

I’m a liar.

I’m not good.

I want to hear from her, and I’m seconds away from texting her myself. It’s only been an hour since I’ve seen her, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to know every fucking detail of her life, of her day, of Thea’s day.

Everything.

My attention shifts when I hear a noise near the plane. I watch as the door opens, and a man in a suit wearing a pilot’s hat emerges, making his way down the staircase. He lifts his hand, giving us a little wave as he makes his way toward us in a jog.

I wonder what the fuck is coming next, because no doubt something is coming. When he’s standing in front of me, his eyes slide up and down my body before they connect with my own.

“Truck is coming around. The girls will begin deplaning.”

He doesn’t say anything else. Instead, he dips his chin, and I watch him turn around and walk back to the plane. I’m not exactly sure what the fuck is going on here. I don’t see any women immediately, and I turn to look over to Hippie. I start to ask him what the fuck is going on here when he sucks in a breath.

CHAPTER

FORTY

HOUND

Slowly, my attention shifts back over to the plane. Hippie’s focused and not looking anywhere else. That plane holds all of his attention. And when I finally see what he does, it’s my turn to suck in a breath.

One by one, women exit the plane. Not just any women. They’re all stunning and wearing practically nothing. Short skirts, tube tops, long hair, and high-as-fuck heels. What the actual fuck? It’s not what I was expecting at all.

“Sexy as fuck, right?” a deep voice murmurs behind us.

I tear my gaze away from the women, who are still moving down the stairs of the airplane, and come face to face with a man in a suit. I arch a brow. He smirks. “Usually, this is done at night, so this is new for me.”

“And you are?” I ask.

He shifts his focus to meet mine, his lips twitching into a smirk. “I’m Ghost.”

I almost laugh, because I didn’t think they did road names, but what the fuck do I know? I don’t know dick about the fucking Russian mob.

“So what happens now?” I ask.

He tilts his head to the side, then he turns to face a door that’s been rolled up. There is a truck waiting inside. I hadn’t noticed it earlier, too mesmerized by the plane and then by the women. That could get a guy like me killed.

“They’ll be loaded into the back. You will drive them straight to Seattle. The address has already been entered into the truck's GPS. Once the merchandise has been offloaded, you will come back here, and your bikes will be waiting in that bay.” He lifts his hand and points toward the bay where the truck is parked and running
