As he cried out and spilled between then, Mikkel stiffened and came too, pressing his face into the junction of Teddy’s neck and shoulder. Teddy could feel Mikkel’s heart beating against his chest. Chapter Six

They hardly got out of bed, except to go to the bathroom or the kitchen. And they went together. There always seemed to be part of them touching the other. When they weren’t, they moved so they were touching. It made Teddy feel safe, it made him feel loved. And yes, he knew this was too fast, that they hardly knew one another, but it felt right and that was all that mattered. He’d never cared about anyone as much as he cared for Mikkel. No one had never treated Teddy as kindly as Mikkel treated him.

Eventually, they made their way to the living room and the ocean view. Mikkel sprawled on his back with his arm around Teddy who laid his head on his chest.

“The house likes you,” Mikkel said.

“Thank you, house.”

“I like you too.”

Teddy tipped his head to smile up at him. “Is it my incredible brain, my beautiful arse or the hot sex?”

Mikkel laughed.

Teddy pouted. “You have to answer that and I know which is the right answer, so careful.”

“I’m not allowed to say all three?”

Teddy whined.

“Let me count the ways that I l… I like you.”

Teddy groaned dramatically. “You’re going to make a list?”

“I am.”

“I thought there’d only be a couple of things worth liking about me.”

Mikkel frowned. “You shouldn’t have listened to your mother. Or anyone else. You are eminently likeable, Teddy.”

Teddy shrugged.

“They were idiots.” Mikkel brushed his fingers over Teddy’s cheek. “You’re smart and funny. You admire the unusual. You champion the underdog. You make me think about things I never would’ve thought about.”

Teddy’s heart did a little flip of pleasure. “Like penis worms?”

“I could have done with not knowing about those.”

“The thing is, they need to be studied. We can’t assume an animal doesn’t play an important role in an ecosystem because it’s a bit revolting and rather scary. That’s important to remember. We all serve a purpose.”

Mikkel blinked at him. “Were—”

“What? You’re not revolting or scary. I saw your horns. They were sexy. So was your tail. That was really sexy. I can’t help but wonder what you can do with that. Maybe jack me off with it while you’re inside me?”
