After I fill her, I have to hold still until my fucking pulse settles. I finally pull out and crash onto the bed beside her. My hand settles on my sweaty chest over my thumping heart.

“That’s one way to spend a Saturday night,” she jokes, resting her head on my shoulder.

I chuckle and playfully squeeze her ass cheek. “You could say that again.”

“I think I want to take you back there someday,” she mumbles. My dick’s tired, but it swells at that thought.

Fuck me, she’s a vixen—I’ve truly met my match.

“Duly noted, Bee,” I joke.

She cranes her neck to look at me. “Why do you call me that?” she asks.

I meet her gaze, twisting a lock of her hair around my finger. “You once called me a hurricane, and I never want you to see me stormy again.” I pause as she glances away.

“Some storms are pretty in the distance,” she murmurs.

“But you’ll get hurt if you get too close. You didn’t ask how I’d describe you. I think you’re a bee. Like a honeybee. Good for your environment, buzzing with energy, meaning well. Bees don’t sting people unless they have to, and you wouldn’t hurt a fly. Flowers flourish when bees are near, and I feel that when I’m around you.”

She lifts her head off my chest. “Oh, my God. I could cry.”

“Oh, please don’t,” I add with a light chuckle.

“I love you. I know it’s not ideal with me leaving, but I want to see you all the time. Will you visit me in San Diego?” she blurts out.

“Babe, calm down. Of course, I’ll visit you, but you need to come here, too.”

“Deal.” She smiles and leans up to kiss me.

What happens when a honeybee flies into a hurricane?

Chapter Twenty-Two

Tilly

I roll off Enzo and onto my back.

Enzo thrives when I’m around.

I didn’t think it was possible to change a man like him. I tried changing my ex without meaning to, and that blew up in my face. I never want what I have with Enzo to go away.

But am I getting too close to a storm?

He turns onto his side, turning my face toward him. He crashes his lips onto mine, rolling to lie partially on top of me. The plug is still in, and it’s a pleasant fullness. Even more so when Enzo was in me.

But God, I love his heat. His weight. How he claims me every time.

Oh, my God, I could come again already!

I throw my arms around his neck and moan into his mouth.

“You’re trying to kill me,” he jokes with his lips hovering over mine.

“No, never,” I mumble.

I inhale his scent. He always smells musky, yet expensive—just like his tattoos. Manly and intimidating, but elegant.

“I have to wash this comforter every day because of you.”
