Tilly bubbles with laughter, but I don’t miss the way she presses her thighs together tighter after my dare. “Fine. Point taken. You’re tough.” She pecks my lips with hers, and her lips taste like wine and weed. I couldn’t think of a more addictive combination on her lips. Then, she’s fixated on my tattoos again. “Which one was your first?”
I lift my free arm. “Grapevine around the bicep. RJ came with me, and—”
“Who’s RJ?” she interrupts.
“Robby.” Her lips form an ‘O’ shape as she waits for me to continue. “He went with me, was completely traumatized, and we got tacos afterward.” It wasn’t a bad afternoon. Then he went to LA for college.
“Will you ever tell me what these mean?”
“How much time do you have?” I deadpan.
“Oh, come on. They have to carry some meaning.”
“Honestly, I just wanted to control my appearance.”
Her eyebrows furrow, then soften. Like she’s contemplating what I mean.
“Why? Can’t you do that with how you dress or with your hair?”
“I’m different, Tilly. You haven’t met my brothers. I don’t look like them.”
“That can’t be true. You look like your dad, right?”
I frown and let out a sigh. “I do. Thank God. But my mom made me different. I stick out. Not just with my siblings but my whole family.”
She brings her hand to my jaw to make me look at her. “But you’re so unique. One of a kind! And so handsome.”
Yep, weed’s affecting her.
“I’m taller than everyone else. I’m the giant.”
“I love how giant you are,” she giggles.
“No, but seriously. If I was going to be the different one…the other kid, it was going to be on my terms. Not because of who my mom is. Or that my siblings are just half.”
“And all the piercings?”
My lips turn up into a smile. “For fun. The one on my tip makes coming feel so fucking good. And I have the real estate for the ladder.”
Tilly smirks. “I know you do.”
And I’m not afraid to use it. Especially now that I know just how perfectly I fit inside her.
“How are you feeling?” I ask to move past what I just fucking admitted to her. She might be too high and tipsy to remember tomorrow.
“Calm…” She glances down at where her legs meet and gasps. “I think you need to take me now.”
“What?” I laugh.
“No…like right fucking now.” She enunciates each word a bit dramatically for her. Since she’s wearing loose athletic shorts, I slip my fingers up her inner thighs. I don’t have to search for long to find out how drenched she is. More than she’s ever been with me so far. My jaw drops. I don’t know how long we’ve been out here smoking. It could have been five minutes—or fifty. But barely half a joint undoes her.
Without a word, I stand from the outdoor couch and walk inside. The room spins from mixing substances. I need to get low now. My back will hate me later, but I sprawl out on the fuzzy rug in the entertainment room on the other side of the back door. I bend my arms and rest my wrists behind my head. Tilly follows behind me, as I expected she would. She doesn’t want sex right now; she needs it like a gravitational pull.
“Come, take it.”
“Right here?” she asks.
“Yeah, ride it.”
