He turns back to the computer and scrolls farther down. “It looks like they ran a reverse lookup on the source.”

He opens the linked report.

There is an IP address, several service records, and beneath them a physical address.

I recognize it before I consciously finish reading.

Without a word, I turn and walk out of the room.

“Shit,” I hear behind me.

“What is it?” That’s Antonio.

“That's his address,” I hear Ricardo say faintly as I take the hallway at a run now.

In my mind, everything connects at once.

The address of this house. That's why it was bothering me so much. It was one of the addresses I gave Blair to look into this afternoon.

Hundreds of Meridian records transferred to her laptop, including properties Conti Enterprises had considered, old acquisitions, failed deals, and addresses buried inside years of company paperwork.

This house was one of them.

Blair is there. So are Victoria, Julia, Leonardo, and Cecilia.

I am already running.

My phone is in my hand before I hit the stairs, Blair’s number ringing as I take them two at a time. Footsteps pound behind me seconds later as the others catch up, no one stopping to ask questions now.

“Cars,” Ricardo snaps as we reach the first floor.

Dante is already pulling out his phone. Matteo and Tomasso are moving with him, while Giovanni, Antonio, and Nico follow us out through the back entrance.

I note out of the corner of my eye that Giovanni has stopped to give orders to secure the house and everything in it.

In my ear, Blair’s phone keeps ringing.

“Come on, cara.”

We hit the drive at a run. Doors open almost at once as everyone splits toward the vehicles, engines starting before half of us are inside.

My phone rings in my hand as Blair’s number comes up.

For half a second, relief hits me hard.

I answer immediately. “Blair?”

All I hear is noise.

Then the line cuts out.

My car is squealing out of there before the screen goes dark.

The people who used this house knew someone had started digging through their companies.

They traced that person back to my home.

Back to Blair.
