For a moment, I do nothing except look at her.

It has been seven days since I last saw her standing beside that blue Corvette, furious with me and somehow managing to look beautiful despite her wild mass of hair and askew clothing.

She looks considerably more polished today.

Unfortunately for my concentration, that does nothing to make her less appealing.

She is speaking with one of the inspectors, a tablet held against her forearm while she gestures toward something near the window framing. Her black hair falls smoothly around her shoulders, and she is wearing a white blouse beneath one of those fitted button-up vests that looks borrowed from menswear. Well, until a… full woman like Blair puts it on.

On her, it is anything but masculine.

The vest follows the narrow line of her waist. Her trousers are tailored close through her hips before falling straight down legs that seem even longer than I remember, ending in heels so thin and sharp they look capable of inflicting bodily harm.

Delicious.

Absolutely fucking delicious.

My imagination immediately removes several unnecessary components of the outfit.

The blouse goes first. The trousers follow.

I leave the vest. And the heels.

Definitely the heels.

Then I put those tiny panties from last week back on her and picture her standing exactly where she is now with the city spread behind her through the glass.

The image is vivid enough that I almost miss Ricardo stepping out of the elevator.

“This is nice,” he says.

I keep looking at Blair. “Very.”

Ricardo goes quiet.

I realize my mistake approximately one second too late.

I turn my head.

My brother is looking at me instead of the penthouse.

“What?”

His gaze moves from me to Blair and back again.

“Nothing.”

It is definitely not nothing, but I ignore it.

I step out of the elevator after him. “The inspectors are already here.”

“So I see.”

There are three of them spread through the penthouse, along with someone I recognize from the building’s management team. One is near the kitchen with equipment laid out across the island.

The island.

My eyes move away from it immediately.
