Hunter scowls. "Autumn."

"What?"

"Be polite."

"No."

His eye twitches.

I love her so much it borders on inconvenient.

Before Hunter can say anything else, Clint leans down and presses a kiss to Autumn's temple.

“Maybe you two should chat,” he murmurs.

The effect on Hunter is immediate, his entire body goes rigid.

Oh, hell.

"You son of a bitch!"

The punch comes so fast, Clint barely has time to turn his head before Hunter's fist connects with his jaw.

Autumn screams his name while I lunge forward, but the alpha with the ponytail moves at the same time, and catches Hunter around the chest before he can swing again.

Clint stumbles back one step, catches himself, then lifts both hands.

"I'm not fighting you."

Hunter looks ready to chew through the alpha’s arm to get to him. "Are you fucking my sister? You're old enough to be her father!"

Clint blinks. "I'm in my twenties."

"Exactly!"

"That's not how math works," I mutter.

Hunter points at Autumn over Gears' arm. "You're coming home."

Autumn steps forward.

"No."

Hunter stares at her like the word came from somewhere else. "No?"

"No." She stares at him. "I'm not coming home with you."

"Autumn."

"No, Hunter." She moves closer, and for the first time since they arrived, she doesn't look like his baby sister. She looks like an omega standing in front of her pack. "I love them."

Everything stills.

"I love Clint," she says, glancing toward him first. His jaw is already starting to redden from the punch, but his eyes soften the second hers touch him. "I love Tripp." My chest does something stupid and painful, because hearing it out loud, in front of everybody, hits differently than hearing it in the quiet. Then she looks at Briggs, and the man goes completely still beside Clint. "I love Briggs."

Hunter's eyes widen, and his jaw twitches.

"I'm staying," Autumn says.
