She just had to exist, and I’d come undone.

I didn’t sleep that night, for once, not because my head was working overtime but because I finally found some kind of newfound peace to settle in my chest.

Marcus’s betrayal wasn’t going to be handled well by our family, but as time passed, they’d get over it. It was also a lesson for anyone craving power to realize that our family wouldn’t hesitate to kill our own if they decided to turn against us.

Although my father spoke words of regret for the way he raised me, our relationship could never be normal. It wasn’t something I even wanted to try to fix. But I didn’t hold it against him. It somehow made me the man I was today, a man that the beautiful woman in my arms fell for.

My priority was no longer my family or my duty. It was her.

My Bella.

She was sleeping deeply, her bare skin on every inch of me, while my hands gently caressed her back. Even now, I have no regrets because somehow the chain of events brought her into my life, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

It was way past sunrise, but still dark outside as a storm thrashed the city. Loud thunder boomed out between the clouds, and Bella stirred, mumbling something as she nuzzled her nose in my chest. “Arkane?” Her sleepy eyes blinked at me. “Did you not sleep?”

Fuck, she was gorgeous.

“No, wife.” I smiled, flipping us over, and a soft gasp left her lips.

My mouth pressed soft kisses along the side of her neck, where the sheets had ridden down, exposing her beautiful skin.

“Ark,” she muttered, squirming underneath me. “What are you doing?” A brightening flush of red crept over the tops of her chest.

“I’ve been waiting all night for round two.” I grinned at the way her eyes jumped open.

The red was now blazing on her cheeks. “I thought we did that last night,” she muttered.

“That was nothing, baby.” I pressed my forehead to hers, tugging away her soft strands. “I hope you’re ready because I’m going to love every inch of you.”

Only a gasp slipped from her lips as I sank slowly inside her, feeling her familiar warmth grip my cock alive. God, I loved being inside my wife. Her tiny whimpers, soft skin, and the way we fit were the best fucking feeling in the world. But then every moment with her was the best fucking feeling in the world.

“Give me those eyes,” I whispered, gliding my tongue along the apples of her cheeks as my tongue grazed along the flesh as I gyrated my hips at a slow and cruel pace.

Those beautiful, big brown eyes blinked open, gleaming with pleasure but something more. Love. Love for a motherfucker like me.

“God,” she whispered, softly tugging my hair. “I love you so much, Ark.”

“Love you, mia Bella,” I groaned when a shudder swept through her body as my hips dug deep into her, rolling into her just the way she liked it. I knew because her heels would lift and dig into my back. She confessed the angle hit a sweet spot inside her.

I loved making love to her, but I equally loved fucking her. My girl was also both a delicate flower and a ferocious vixen.

“I’m close.” She fisted my hair as she gasped for air. “Arrrkk.” Her back arched, her head falling back as her eyes half-mooned.

“Come for me, Bella,” I whispered in her ear, pressing my thumb flat on her clit.

Her chest heaved up and down as she fought to catch her breath. I softly kissed the side of her neck while I stayed still inside her, fighting back everything in me not to move. It didn’t take long for me to figure out that my wife was extra sensitive after an orgasm.

“Ready?” I asked when her glistening eyes finally found mine, a content smile on her lips.

“Yes,” she whispered, shy all of a sudden. She did that a lot, too, like I hadn’t seen every inch of her and seen her go wild and crazy on me.

But she was adorable, so I didn’t complain.

It wasn’t long before we were fucking like animals. I wasn’t even sure which round it was or how many positions we had switched. All I knew was the feeling of her and me.

Bella trembled, her palms splayed on the glass windows. The ocean was barely visible through the fog we created.

“Good girl,” I growled in her ear. “Keep your hands just like that.”
