“Blair?”
I closed my car door. “What?”
“What’s wrong?”
I hung up. I beat him there by eight minutes. Longest eight minutes of my fucking life. I paced, sat down, and stood back up.
I grabbed the gift bag and shoved it into the coat closet. Then pulled it back out because why the fuck was I hiding gifts.
By the time I heard Caleb’s key in the door, I’d relocated that damn bag four times.
He walked in. “Blair?”
I stood in the living room.
He stopped when he saw me.
“What happened?”
I didn’t answer.
He shut the door. “Baby—”
“Does Ravenna know you’re divorcing her?”
His face changed. “Blair—”
“Don’t.”
“What happened?”
“I saw her.”
Everything left his face. “Where?”
“The grocery store.”
He rubbed his jaw. “Okay.”
“Okay?”
“No. I’m asking—what happened?”
“Nothing happened. That’s the fucking problem.”
He looked confused.
“She was shopping.”
Caleb frowned. “Okay.”
“With a woman.”
“Blair, I don’t—”
“Wearing her wedding ring.”
I laughed. “Interesting, right?”
