“Yes.”
He laughed. “You think I accidentally did all this?”
“I don’t know.”
“Blair.”
“What?”
“You think I accidentally keep showing up?” He leaned forward. “You think I accidentally make room for you in my life?”
I looked down. “Maybe.”
“Bullshit.”
“I’m serious.”
“So am I.”
He reached across the table. “I’m not saying I have everything figured out and I’m not saying we need to rush into anything.”
“Good.”
He laughed. “You said that fast.”
“I didn’t mean it like that.”
“I know.” Nash squeezed my fingers. “We’re taking this slow.”
I nodded. “I like slow.”
“So do I.”
His thumb moved over mine. “But slow doesn’t mean I have to lie about where I’m headed, and I’m falling in love with you.”
Tears filled my eyes. “Damn.”
“That’s what I get?”
“I’m processing.”
“Take your time.”
I laughed then looked down at our hands. “I mailed Ravenna that letter today.”
Nash didn’t react much because he knew I had been considering it.
“You did?”
“Yeah.”
“How do you feel?”
“Strangely okay.”
“Good.”
“My mom told me that an apology was mine to give, but forgiveness was Ravenna’s to do whatever she wanted with.”
