My eyes burned. “Yes.”
She laughed so hard tears filled her eyes. “Oh, this motherfucker is sick.”
My humiliation turned to anger. “You don’t have to—”
“What? Laugh?”
She held up her left hand showing her wedding ring. “He gave me one too. But mine came with vows.”
That dig landed exactly where she intended.
I looked away.
“And witnesses,” she added.
“Ravenna.”
“And a license.”
“Please stop.”
“No.”
Her voice got louder. “You didn’t stop.”
She was crying angry tears. “You had three years to stop. You knew my name?”
“Yes.”
“You knew where I lived?”
“No.”
“Oh, lucky me.”
I wiped my face. “He told me you knew.”
Ravenna’s head tilted. “Knew what?”
My stomach twisted. “About me.”
She stared at me. “About… you?”
“He said you knew.”
“Knew what, Blair?”
“That there was someone else.”
Her face went completely still. I wished she would’ve yelled, laughed, or called me a bitch. Anything except stare at me like I had started speaking another language.
She shook her head. “No.”
My stomach dropped. “He said—”
“I don’t give a fuck what he said. I’m telling you I didn’t know about you.”
“But he told me you knew he was seeing someone.”
