“But tearing innocent people to pieces? Do we genuinely believe they’re capable?” I asked.

“They left over one hundred and twenty in that trailer to die,” Sapphire ground out. “Those cunts were aware there were kids inside.”

“Shit. That’s true. We have to take them out,” I agreed.

“They need taking out because of the cut they wear,” Belladonna added. “That is crime enough.”

The screams alerted me first. Within moments of the screaming starting, gas canisters flew into the clubhouse, and we all began gagging and choking.

“Attack!” Belladonna screamed at Sapphire, but I also sensed Sapphire’s distress. What the hell was going on?

I tried breathing through my mouth, but I went down. As I did, I saw everyone else hitting the floor. What the hell?

Belladonna fell next to me, and I sought her hand as darkness took me under.

I opened my eyes and blinked the drowsiness away. I was in a… cell… with Wylde, Hatton, Sapphire, and Blade. Okay, why the fuck was I here with them? And where were the rest of them? Dagger, Vengeance, Storm, and Tinkerbell were missing.

“Wake up,” I ordered, shaking Hatton and Wylde.

“Where are we?” Hatton commanded, getting to his feet.

“God knows,” I replied, helping Hatton to stand.

“What the hell’s going on?” Sapphire barked and glanced around. “We’re in prison?”

“There’s no one else here but us. And we’re unsure, babe.”

“Where are my sisters?” Sapphire demanded with fear in her eyes.

“I don’t know. We’re all that was here,” I stated as Wylde helped her and Blade up.

“We need to find them,” Sapphire said, exchanging a glance with Blade.

Hatton walked over to the window, which had broken glass and bars. “Shit.” He closed his eyes.

“What?” I asked, walking over and joining him. “Where are we?”

“Portsmouth Naval Prison in Maine. This entire building is derelict, and the outer buildings are abandoned,” Hatton ground out.

Sapphire staggered and clutched her head. “It’s Belladonna; she’s screaming for us,” she whispered.

“She’s with Lantern, Sailor, Rose, Tinkerbell, and Teddy,” Blade explained as Sapphire went into her mind. Although I knew Belladonna was telepathic, I had never seen it in action before.

“…I can’t reach any of the others! I don’t know where they are!” Belladonna wailed in my head.

“Holy shit,” Hatton exclaimed, paling and grabbing his forehead.

“Calm down. What do you remember happening last?” Sapphire ordered.

“We were talking, and then the clubhouse was attacked. Fog rolled in, and smoke canisters were thrown, but they knocked us out as well,” Belladonna recounted.

“Are you in a cell?” I asked.

“How did you know?” Lantern demanded. “Are you behind this, cop?”

“No, we’re locked in one,” I explained.
