“This room is a mess, too. I’ve blood but no body. Way too much blood to be one person,” Tinkerbell stated.

“Everyone out. Now. Get back to the bikes. I don’t like this at all; it feels very wrong,” I ordered.

“Are there any signs of life?” Belladonna seemed disturbed.

“Knock on the doors; if there’re people inside, get them the hell out,” I instructed as Storm and I began going room to room.

“Sapphire, we need to leave.” Tinkerbell sounded dreadful.

“What is it?”

“I don’t know. But I’m feeling terrified,” she replied.

If Tinkerbell was admitting that, I’d listen. “Okay,” I said. “Move now. Abandon what you’re doing and hit the parking lot.”

“On our way,” my sisters called in.

As we gathered outside, I saw lights flashing in the distance. Hayden. Moments later, he pulled in with another car behind him. Hatton climbed out of that one as Cassidy and Wylde got out of theirs.

“This better not be a joke,” Hatton warned.

I silently pointed toward the office. Hayden checked me over before following Hatton. Minutes later, they came back out.

“You just found this?” Hatton asked.

“Yes. We got an alert from the security system, and nobody answered, so we rode out. We discovered all this. What the fuck happened here?” I demanded.

“That’s a good question. Detective, call in Crime Scene…” Hatton broke off as several containers were launched at us. Moments later, we all began coughing and collapsed to the ground.

“Attack!” Belladonna screeched in my mind. Did she mean her or us? We were out before we could count to five.

Chapter Four.

Sparrow

Belladonna linked me in with Sapphire and the others.

Removing myself from the rec room, I joined Belladonna in my office. The images filtering from them were horrific. We’d not seen anything like it. I was too focused on what was occurring to notice the party. I stared through their eyes, horror-struck at what was happening. Who exactly launched this attack against us?

Someone had sliced and diced their way through the motel. Had some fuckin’ druggie lost his mind and gone on a spree?

“We only see shit like this in the movies,” I muttered.

“Yeah, tell that to the victims,” Belladonna replied grimly.

“We’re going to have to inform the others, babe,” I said softly.

Belladonna nodded, absolutely gutted. She’d done this for all of us, and we’d been enjoying it despite our reservations. I loved some outfits our sisters created, and now the evening would be ruined. All Belladonna’s plans had gone out the window.

An idea struck me.

“Could this be the Bloody Femmes? Did they find out Priest killed Outlaw?” I narrowed the thought directly at Belladonna and Sapphire.

Belladonna turned to me. “I wouldn’t put it past them to do something like this. We know that they’ve no qualms about killing. Think about who they worship. Ferrah Lynn. She tied one of her husbands to four horses and whipped them until they tore him apart. The cunt is beyond evil. This is definitely within her realm of influence.”

“The bitch is a butcher. On top of that, Foxy believes the sun shines out of her ass,” Sapphire replied.

“Takes one psycho to recognise another,” Belladonna muttered.
