If they didn’t stop giggling I was going to be the color of a tomato.

Ugh.

Tomatoes.

“Did you know they have some kind of black pasta?” I hadn’t complained about that yet, so it was a good distraction to a room full of littles. By the time I finished explaining what Daddy had made for dinner and how weird it’d been, they’d moved past questions about my having two mates.

It didn’t stop Wren from giving me a wicked grin as I finally left his apartment, though. He hadn’t forgotten why I’d been trying not to blush and squirm, and neither had I because I couldn’t decide if my mates needed privacy or company.

From what I could tell through the bond, they’d been kissing and snuggling for the past hour but I didn’t think it’d moved past that.

So that meant they were either taking things very slowly or they were waiting for me.

Right?

We hadn’t actually talked about intimacy when it was just two of us, but that was probably because it’d always been the three of us. If we were apart, we were working or having weird meetings about why we participated in Christmas like most of America.

I still wasn’t sure I explained that one right, but I wasn’t worried about it at the moment. I had sexy things and an inconvenient erection to worry about. My pants were loose enough it wasn’t a problem but I’d never gotten turned on by someone else kissing.

That was probably because I could feel them both kissing, even though I was pretty sure they didn’t realize how much they were projecting. It’d started out faint and had slowly grown as they’d gotten distracted.

Yes, rules and logistics around two-person intimacy were something we needed to talk about.

Once I stopped worrying and figured out if I could just go into the house or if I needed to give them some warning first.

Maybe I should go see if that restaurant place was open?

“Eeek!”

Fates above.

“Don’t do that.” I managed not to fall back on my ass as the door opened unexpectedly but my heart about leapt out of my chest. “That’s…”

Fates above.

Daddy cocked his head and studied me from where he stood beside Master. “Does he need a hug?”

“I’m fairly certain he was imagining swatting us like a bug, so he might need a moment first?” Master said it so calmly it sounded completely logical. “Making more noise going forward is probably best for our safety.”

“Our mate is dangerous.” Daddy shook his head, pretending to take the ridiculousness seriously. “It must be related to his consumption of chicken nuggets.”

They were crazy.

“I wasn’t thinking about hitting you.” I was their good boy. “Next thing you know you’re going to be jumping out at me around corners and going boo.”

I’d almost made a scare-me-to-death joke but Daddy had seemed kind of tense earlier.

He was silly now, though.

“Please explain boo and the function of Halloween.” He said it so seriously I almost missed the teasing glint in his eyes. “Large fruits should not have faces.”

I kind of agreed with him but all I could do was giggle as I finally threw myself at them. “I had nuggets tonight, not pumpkins, so I’m not going to worry about that right now.”

Master made me squeak as he picked me up but Daddy made a tsking sound he must’ve been practicing. “Our boy always worries. Should I do my best to figure out if you have been abducted and replaced?”

“What have you been reading?” Something ridiculous judging by how funny he found the whole thing. Laughter was pouring through the bond as he closed the door and set the privacy screen. “I’m not an alien.”

As we sat down on the couch with me on Master’s lap, he frowned at me and poked my stomach. “You are an alien. I have heard that conversation explored several different times over the past few days.”
