“Absolutely,” Atlas replies, a dangerous glint in his eye. “I assume that he wants me to scope the area and find the perfect place to take the shot from?”

Trick nods, “Yes. He has a couple of options for you, but since there’s such a big risk of Hunt getting away again, you’re going to have to study them using the data that we have rather than in person.”

“I can do that,” Atlas replies, not bothered at all.

“Great,” Trick replies.

“When did Alaric give you all of this new information?” Luc asks curiously.

“Just before dinner,” Trick replies. “I was going to wait until after we’ve eaten to bring it up.”

“Ah, okay,” Luc replies. “So, the rest of us are spread out, right?”

Trick nods. “Yep, Alaric will be with us. Raid and their team will be our direct backup, and they have been briefed accordingly. There will be teams on the water in case Hunt somehow makes an escape that way, and to catch anyone else who tries to make an escape that way. There will also be people all around the perimeter of the shipping yard. There will be enough of us that he shouldn’t be able to escape.”

“Good, it sounds like you’ve got everything covered,” Cash says.

Trick nods, “Yeah. Alaric’s working closely with Liam to figure out exactly where Liam needs to be to make sure that Hunt is standing in the correct place so that Atlas can take the shot, but he needs to know from Atlas where his preferred place to take the shot from is.”

Atlas nods, “I can do that. Give me a couple of days to go over the files and info, and I’ll let you know.”

“If you give me the locations that you get it narrowed down to, I’ll see if I can get some footage of them and work out the cameras in the area so you can get in smoothly,” Pete says thoughtfully.

“Thanks, man,” Atlas replies. “Ideally, I would go and check them out myself, but that’s too risky this time. We don’t want Hunt to have even a vague inkling that we’re around.”

“Agreed. That’s all settled then,” Trick says. “We’ll meet at the safe house, double-check that everyone knows what they're doing, and then we’ll head out. Is everyone good with that?”

“Where do you want us?” Elijah asks.

“Nowhere. You’re taking some time off, and that’s the end of it,” Trick replies firmly.

“Yes, boss,” Elijah replies with a chuckle. “We’ll keep an eye on the animals then.”

“Thank you,” Luc smiles as he not so sneakily gives Wyn a treat.

“Great,” I reply, and look back at Pete. “Okay, so we’ll plan your party for the night before the wedding, which will be the day after we take Hunt out. I know that you guys don’t want individual bachelor parties and want to do something together and with us the night before. We’ll have to come straight back here after the Hunt thing, which we want to do anyway, so that’s not a problem. Ideally, Jynx and the guys will be able to meet us back here and help set up and stuff, but if not, there’s enough of us that we can get it done.”

“Are you sure?” Pete asks. “We can skip that bit?”

“No,” Trick says. “Like Ever said, it will be tight, but there are enough of us to pull it off.”

“Thanks, guys,” Pete replies, his eyes getting misty. “I’m going to call the venue that we were using and see if they’ve got any space.”

“Message our parents, or email them, don’t call them, and they can sort the guest list side of it out, and they were doing the flowers anyway,” Elijah suggests. “You know that they’ll love to do all of that.”

“Good point,” Pete says. “They will kick my ass if I don’t ring them about this though.” He pauses for a moment and then seems to come to a decision. “I’ll ring them, it will be quicker anyway.”

Elijah chuckles, “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Pete pulls out his phone and dials his dad. Zeke picks up almost immediately, and both of them appear on the screen with their heads squished together so that they both fit, and once they’ve said hello to everyone and gushed over the puppy, Pete fills them in on the update. Shawn immediately starts panicking before Zeke reels him in. They immediately ask what they can do to help and say that they’ll rope Elijah’s parents in too. Pete gives them the list, and then they suggest a couple of other things that they could help with, and Pete is more than happy to hand it over to them. They do warn him that they know that there are a few guests that won’t be able to make it.

“That’s okay,” Pete replies. “I don’t mind it being smaller.”

“Good,” Zeke says. “We’ll get on this now. Let us know if you can book the same place. If not, I’ll start making a list of other options in a similar area.”

“Awesome. Thank you guys, I really appreciate it,” Pete says, already sounding less stressed than he was.

“Of course,” Shawn replies. “Love you.”
