This was a lot all at once. First finding out that her father, whom she’d supported for years, was actually guilty. And he used all her money to gain his freedom.

Oz glanced over at Calloway. “Give her the details.”

He sighed, as if bored. “Your father had two accounts set up. One for lawyers and the other for personal. And that account was closed a few days before his murder. He’d transferred the money to an untraceable account that belonged to my nephew. Once it cleared, the order was fulfilled. Is that enough detail or would you like to know how long it took for him to bleed out in prison?”

“Shut the fuck up,” Jekyll snapped.

He wanted Imogene to have the truth but the cruelty was unnecessary. She was already suffering enough.

The man merely shrugged with a smug half-smile. He stood and adjusted the button on his jacket.

“If that’s all, I’ll see myself out,” Calloway said.

Oz pointed to the opposite end of the balcony. “I’m not done. You can wait in my office. Ridge and Caine will take you there.”

Oz’s security came up on either side of him. It was the first time Calloway looked unsettled.

“Oz?”

“My office.”

He started through the room, and Imogene spun in her chair. “You’re not even sorry, are you?”

Calloway scoffed. “For killing a murderer? No.”

“How about for taking money from a murderer, and providing a false alibi to set him free?”

Calloway smiled. “The false alibi? It wasn’t a very original idea, was it, Imogene? Your dad had already tried it once...with you.”

What the fuck was he talking about? Jekyll angled his head, looking at Imogene. Her bottom lip trembled and she shook her head.

“I was never his alibi.”

“Because you wouldn’t lie. Like I said, your dad liked to talk.” Calloway smirked and his tone was mocking. “You were so happy to see him.”

Her face paled and a tear slid down her cheek.

“What the fuck is he talking about?” Jekyll asked.

Imogene was in a trance, staring back at Calloway.

“My office,” Oz said, and Calloway proceeded to walk away with Caine and Ridge.

Jekyll knew the truth would come at a price. He just wasn’t prepared for it to completely destroy her. She was shutting down before his eyes, and there wasn’t anything he could do to stop it. At least not immediately. He needed to get her home.

“Come on.” He grabbed her hand, and she stood, but her body almost seemed lifeless.

“Not done with you, Jekyll,” Oz said and pointed to Nash. “Get her a car.”

There was no way he was leaving her alone.

“Fuck you.”

Oz cocked his brow, and his jaw squared. “Non-negotiable, remember?”

Ghost stepped up. “Let me get her out of here, Jek.”

Jekyll hated to leave her side, but he didn’t have a choice.
