“This is the family room,” Lawson says, pointing at an archway. “Through that is the front door, the main mudroom, and the main stairs.”

“This is where we tend to hang out,” Bryant says. “At least for most of the year. During winter, the fireplace in the main living room gets a lot of use.”

“It’s nice and cozy. I can see why you chill in here,” I say, glancing around.

This room is much smaller than the formal living room.

“Come on,” Lawson says, taking off toward the archway. “Let’s show you where you’ll be staying, so you can settle in and take a shower before dinner.”

A shower sounds nice, but I also might need a few minutes to center myself so I don’t have a panic attack. These guys live in a freaking mansion. I don’t know what I was thinking when I convinced myself they might be into me.

The dogs follow us upstairs, barreling down the hallway. The guys take turns pointing out their bedrooms, and just before the curve to take the hallway down in the other direction, we come to a stop in front of a door.

“If you follow the hallway that way, you’ll end up at the back stairs,” Luka says, rubbing circles over my lower back as he points with his free hand.

“I’m going to get lost a few times over the next few days,” I say, smiling. “I can feel it coming.”

“It’s really not that bad once you get the hang of it,” Bryant says. “Head left if you’re late and need to skip breakfast when rushing out the door. Go right or, I guess, straight, when leaving the pack bedroom if you want to go anywhere else in the house.”

Pack bedroom?

“On that note,” Luka says. “Law, why don’t you open the door?”

Lawson tosses the door open, leading the way inside.

Bryant follows him in while Luka kinda drags me along.

The room is dark, but someone flips on the light.

I’m not a fan of the big light.

It’s kinda my nemesis.

In this case, it’s easy to ignore as my jaw drops.

Holy shit.

The bedroom is spacious, with a huge four-poster bed that takes up most of the far wall. It has to be larger than a king.

A thick, dark gray upholstered headboard with tufted buttons lines the top of the mattress. It takes four king-size pillows to fill the space without gaps.

Thick, dark cream linens hang from the posters. A foot of fabric in the same color circles the top, and I’m guessing it blocks the curtain track.

Several dressers line the walls, and near the doors that must lead to a balcony, there are two wide club chairs.

“What do you think?” Bryant asks, rocking on his heels. “Will you be comfortable in here?”

Noise comes from behind me, and I spin as Echo and Shadow barrel into the room.

Lawson is brave, stepping in front of Echo. “Not gonna happen. You don’t jump onto the bed unless you’re invited.” He raises an arm, pointing at the door. “Go play. Burn off some of that never-ending energy.”

“Let’s check out the bathroom and nest,” Luka says, giving me a gentle push toward the hallway.

All I can do is blink as he guides me across the room.

This place is amazing, and I fit in zero percent.
