I’ve met guys like Tommy before. They enjoy tormenting anyone weaker than them. When they find someone on equal footing, they back off fast.

Now that he understands Abby has us at her side, he’s far more likely to move on than he is to press the issue.

If that changes, I’ve got a shovel.

Lawson has an extreme understanding of the most remote parts of the wilderness up in the mountains.

Bryant can be our alibi since we’d never ask Abby to lie for us.

* * *

Christmas morning rolls around, and having Abby with us makes it every bit as magical as I imagined it would be.

We get solid use out of the new digital camera, but we also take a fair number of pictures with our phones.

The dogs are stretched out in front of the fireplace, and I take a picture as Echo wallows around on her back.

I learned from Lawson that dogs only sleep like that when they’re comfortable with their environment, since it makes their internal organs more vulnerable to attack.

Both Abby and Echo are flourishing, and that makes me smile as I snap a few more photos. I never would have said I wanted a second dog, but I’d miss her if she wasn’t here.

Abby laughs, and I turn back to see what she opened. It’s a sexy silk and lace nightie in baby blue.

I raise my phone, taking a few pictures as she smiles over her shoulder at Bryant. He’s in one of the club chairs with her on his lap, and he looks like there’s no place in the world that he would rather be.

I get it.

I feel the same way anytime she’s close to me.

“That’ll make your eyes look even more blue,” I tell her, wiggling my eyebrows. “At least, until we peel you out of it.”

Abby snorts, tossing it onto the massive pile on the floor. “You guys are insane. We can’t do this every year. I spent my entire paycheck on gifts for the three of you, and I’m still opening while you guys finished twenty minutes ago.”

“Yeah, but we already have everything we need,” Lawson says, scratching his fluffy beard. “I’ll start throwing out things that are getting old so you have more options to buy.”

A bark of laughter escapes our omega as she climbs off Bryant’s lap and makes her way over to the chair Law is stretched out on. She gets settled, kneeling over my brother, and stretches up to kiss him.

His hands look ridiculous in comparison to her hips and ass, and I start to contemplate a different way to get into the Christmas spirit.

“You don’t need to throw out things that still have value.” Abby pecks a final kiss on his lips as she pulls back. “That’s wasteful, but I’m telling you right now. When we have kids, you can’t go this overboard with presents.”

My dick jumps, and I slide my palm over my jeans to settle it.

It doesn’t help.

The goal is definitely to knock Abby up at some point in the future, but I also want to enjoy a year or two of pampering her and settling into our bond before we add to the family.

“You know, it might be the perfect time to give her the big gift,” Bryant says, chuckling. “If you accept it, you’ll have full access to our bank accounts to go wild buying us too many gifts.”

“Don’t ruin the surprise, dumbass,” Lawson growls.

I dig the ring box out from between the cushion and the arm of the couch. Once it’s secured in my palm, I pop off the sofa and come to kneel in front of Law’s chair.

He helpfully lifts Abby, spinning her in his hold and facing her toward the room.

“Oh my god,” she whispers, her hand flying to cover her mouth.

Bryant stands, and I wait for him to get the camera situated.
