I don’t know how long she’s gone for, but when she returns, she says, “I’m going to clean you up, and then we’ll go to bed and cuddle. Is that okay?”
I have no voice left and barely enough strength to nod, but manage.
Sin uses a warm washcloth to wipe my cock and my ass down, cleaning me thoroughly and lovingly, and I’m a mess of sobs again from her loving care.
When we make it to my bedroom, we crawl into the bed, and she holds me, my head resting on her left breast where I can feel her heartbeat.
“I love you so much,” I breathe. “Thank you for giving me what I needed.”
She kisses the top of my head. “I love you, too. Thank you for trusting me with this.”
As I settle in and close my eyes, there’s a whisper in my mind.
She is our precious love.
I realize then that he’d been silent through all of that.
You needed time with Sin.
Gratitude wells up inside of me. Thank you, friend.
There’s a scoffing noise in my brain. Don’t think I won’t collect on some alone time myself soon.
I can barely chuckle before the darkness takes me.
Chapter Thirty-Eight
Sin
“Ithink something is wrong,” I mumble absently as I round the corner to the living room doorway, then watch my three enormous Alphas leap to their feet in unison to rush toward me.
Note to self: The fastest way to lead your Alphas to a heart attack is to tell them something is wrong.
“I am so sorry. Let me rephrase that,” I say with a wince. “I think that my suppressants are wearing off.”
The utter relief on their faces is something I can feel inside my chest, as if it were my relief, too.
Cade clears his throat. “Well, it isn’t uncommon for Omegas to start feeling like they’re in heat once they’ve been in cohabitation with their Alphas for a while.”
“False heat,” Ilya says thoughtfully. Then, to me, “You’ve been taking your meds regularly?”
“Absolutely. I’ve never messed around with that. I couldn’t risk it.”
There’s pain in Garen’s mismatched eyes when I say it, and I reach out and take his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.
“We’d support your decision to go off them at any time, love,” he tells me. “We would all take a nice vacation whenever your cycle was coming.”
My eyelids flutter, and I look at each of them. “Really? You’d do that?”
“Of course. But it’s entirely your choice.” Cade kisses my forehead lightly.
“I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing you needy and out of control.” Ilya’s grin is crooked as he says it, then laughs at my deadpanned expression. “You’re my stubborn princess, hm? That’s alright. Heat or no, we get to fuck you for the rest of our lives. Can’t get much better than that.”
My face flames at his words, and Garen pulls me into his embrace. “Tell us what you’re feeling so we can help you.”
I nuzzle his chest, breathe in his zesty citrus scent. “I’m kind of foggy in the head. A little cranky, I think. I had a cramp the other day that felt weird.”
“Maybe we should call a doctor,” Ilya says.
