Her lips purse. “Did you beat the information out of Petrov?”
Clever.
What would you expect from our fated Omega?
I let out a laugh and put some distance between us, circling her to make my way to the square hot tub at the back of the room, finding it on, bubbling and steaming. I turn to the stripper pole and grin saucily.
“You any good with that?”
She crosses her arms over he ample chest, cocking her hip. “It’s not for me. It’s for my clients.”
My brow hikes. “So you like to watch your men dance for you?”
Sin sighs, lets her arms fall. “It has nothing to do with my likes or wants. I help my clients live out their fantasies, their deepest desires, in a safe space.”
A safe space.
I hum as I nod, move to the bed while unbuttoning my jacket. As I lie it across the foot, I turn back to her. “Deepest desires,” I murmur. “You must know what my deepest desire is.”
She blinks at me, but doesn’t respond.
“You know we belong to one another.”
Her breath hitches, then she breathes, “Yes.”
“And Ilya and Cade as well.”
She nods slowly, eyes a bit wild.
I unbutton one cuff of my dress shirt, then start on the other. “So, tell me, Sin. Knowing that, what would my deepest desire be?”
Her lips part, her chest rising and falling with her breath, pupils growing large as her perfume begins to bloom on the air. My nostrils flare, and the simple automatic reaction sets her off, her head twisting side-to-side, her gaze darting all around, like this is the last place she wants to be.
That thought doesn’t sit well with me.
“Do I make you anxious?”
She finally looks at me again. “It’s not you. Not really.”
“Then what?”
“I could get into deep trouble. Get people hurt.”
“What for?”
She swallows hard. “For having a fated mate.”
My head tilts at that. “Why?”
“She owns me.” Her voice is barely there.
“The old hag out front?”
Her head bobs affirmatively.
I frown before changing tactic, moving to sit on the bed and gesturing for Sin to sit on the couch. She hesitates, but moves, sitting on the edge of a cushion far from me, but where she can face me.
“I’m sure you were told I booked us for the whole night.”
