"Again," he demands, his lips against mine. "I want you to come on my cock again, Callie."

"I can't," I gasp. "Oh, God, Bishop. I can't."

"You can." He bites my bottom lip, dragging it through his teeth. "You will."

I whimper, certain another orgasm will break me. The pleasure is too much, too intense. I'm not going to survive it.

"Give it to me, baby," he croons, slipping his hand between my legs. "Let me have one more before you send me to heaven."

I can't deny him. Even to save my own damn life, I can't.

"Please," I beg, clinging to him.

"I've got you, Callie. You're safe with me," he murmurs, his lips at my ear. His thumb strums my clit, his hips rocking into mine slower now. "Trust me."

That's the terrifying part. I do trust him. I trust him not to break me. I trust him to send me hurtling over the edge again. And I trust him to catch me. Despite everything I've learned about how easily trust can be broken and how even the people closest to you can lie…I trust this man.

I trust him enough to put my body in his hands and let him send me soaring one more time.

This time, he goes flying with me.

As soon as my orgasm hits, sparking like a pyroclastic cloud detonating the entire world, he groans my name, going rigid on top of me. His lips brush mine, and then I feel him spilling inside of me, his body trembling on top of mine.

I gasp, shaking apart all the way down to the foundations. The way he whispers my name makes it pretty clear that I'm not the only one who just shattered to the foundation.

He did, too.

Chapter Seven

Bishop

"Tell me something no one knows about you," Callie whispers, her arms wrapped around me as she snuggles on my chest. "Anything at all."

My fingers still in her hair, my mind working. "I fucking hate spiders."

"Really?" She pulls back to look at me, amusement glinting deep in her big brown eyes. "You hate spiders?"

"Yes. They freak me the fuck out."

Her lips curve upward. "I'm pretty sure spiders are more afraid of you than you are of them, Bishop. You're a giant."

"Even giants can get bitten, songbird," I murmur.

Her expression softens. "I'm terrified of heights."

"So…you don't want to sit on my shoulders and let me eat you while I'm standing up?"

"No." She frowns. "Well, maybe."

Laughter rumbles from my lips. Fuck, I love her. Wait. That's not what I… I hesitate, and realize that yeah, I think that is what I mean. I love her.

Jesus. I didn't even feel it happening. But somewhere, somehow since meeting her, I've fallen at her feet like a goddamn meteor collapsing to earth. It's not one thing about her. It's everything about her. It's the way she trusts so easily, and the way she can't lie even when she tries. It's how fearless she is, even when she's afraid, and the way she's thrown her entire heart and soul into chasing her dreams. It's the way she sings like an angel and has no clue how perfect she is.

It's the way she looks at me, too. No one has ever looked at me like she does, as if all she wants to do is keep looking. As if I scare her, excite her, and make her burn all at the same time. I accepted a long time ago that I'd never be good enough for a woman like her. I wasn't good enough for my mom. Why the fuck would another woman like her choose me? And yet…this one looks at me and I don't just feel good enough. I feel fucking perfect.

Yeah, I love her. How could I not?

There was no staying away, not really. I gave her space because she needed it, but I was always going to end up right back here. There was no other option for me. There hasn't been since I stepped inside her studio that first day.
