“Jax,” Delila called out softly.

I turned to find Delila’s head hidden behind the palm of her hands and the test on the counter of the bathroom.

“I can’t look.” She whimpered.

The directions were clear—we had to wait up to two minutes to see the results… but that didn’t matter. On the screen of the pregnancy test, there were already two lines, clear as day.

Two bold little lines that changed everything.

A smirk tugged at the corner of my mouth—I’d done it. This just confirmed it.

Now, Delila was mine.

She was bred now—stuffed so full of my cum that she had no choice but to take it and give me my baby. Tying herself, her body, her future with me—irrevocably.

I tapped the pregnancy test, once for each line.

She’d done beautifully. It was exactly what I needed—the first domino to fall in the chain reaction that would bring my father down.

EIGHTEEN

DELILA

I couldn’t look.

One little piece of plastic was enough to change everything.

It would be enough to destroy my marriage, my reputation.

All while telling me whether I was actually getting the one thing that—if I was honest—I wanted more than anything.

From the loneliest part of me who’d lost my parents, my grandparents… the part of me that didn’t have any family… All I wanted was to make my own—a lovely cooing baby for me to cuddle and love.

For years, I’d dreamed of filling this house with children.

But now?

I couldn’t lie to myself anymore—that dream had changed. I didn’t want just any baby… if I was being perfectly honest… I wanted Jax to be the father of my children.

It was only just recently that he’d grown into a man, but already Jax was more of a man than his father ever was to me.

I wanted those two lines so bad… I couldn’t look.

Because what if this little test proved everything wrong? What if I had a stomach bug and let myself hope for nothing?

“Delila,” Jax called in a low, soothing voice.

Oh, no.

Was he trying to brace me for the worst? Oh God, what did the test say? Maybe it was wrong; maybe I just needed to try it again.

“You did so good.”

My eyes snapped open, landing straight on the plastic on the counter that would seal my fate, one way or the other.

Two lines.

Was I really? Did that mean?
