He needed to draw this out, to taste Ailsa properly before he took her, and he did. He explored her, his tongue sliding slowly in and out of her heat before his fingers spread her wide, licking, swirling, nibbling, and sucking—until she came against his tongue with a ragged cry, her fingers pulling at his hair.

Breathing hard, he rose to his feet and turned her around, pressing her against the trunk.

He then dragged the slick tip of his prick down her spine, between the cleft of her buttocks, to her core.

“Aye, Darach!” she cried. “Please!”

Jaw clenched, he worked his way into her. His hands gripped her hips as she braced herself against the willow.

Ailsa gave a high, keening cry, rolling her hips against him as he pushed deeper until he was finally buried to the hilt.

Breathing harshly in her ear, Darach stilled, letting them both enjoy the sensation. “Feel that?” he rasped. “That’s where I belong, mo chridhe.”

In response, she whimpered.

He circled his own hips then, feeling the walls of her quim flutter against his length. The storm was gathering in her again, and he couldn’t get enough of it—of her.

Placing his hands on either side of her on the trunk, Darach bracketed Ailsa within the cage of his arms. He started to plow her in slow, measured thrusts. He couldn’t let himself go. He had to pace himself.

He didn’t restrain her hands, although he marked how her fingers splayed wide, those long, sharp nails, digging into the bark.

“Let the beast out, Darach,” she gasped, her voice catching. “Just a little. Claim me.”

Darach jerked, heat exploding in his belly.

Shit! She shouldn’t make such a request. This coupling was about her keeping a leash on the bavaan part of her, not about the clag-doo.

However, the hungry bastard heard them, and it gave a rending howl. The sound jabbed like bone needles through his ears.

Sweat trickled down between his shoulder blades now, and heat gathered in his lower back. His rod swelled further inside her, and she shuddered in response, pushing herself harder up against him, her back arching as she brought him deeper still.

Darach started to pant—and then he loosened the leash on the beast, just the tiniest bit. His blood heated, and his skin drew tight. All the while, he continued to take her in deliberately slow strokes.

His fingers curled into fists, and then, as he watched in awful fascination, bladelike claws pushed out from his knuckles. The claws scraped against bark next to Ailsa’s hands. The silvery light from the nearby lantern glinted upon their talons. Bavaan and clag-doo.

His upper jaw tightened then, his canine teeth tingling.

It was a familiar sensation, one that arrived right before his fangs erupted.

Hold.

The clag-doo yowled, furious that he was muzzling it.

And he was—even so, he felt his canines grow. They pushed at his lower lip, pricking the skin. Leaning in, he opened his mouth and slowly and deliberately traced his fangs over the sensitive spot where Ailsa’s neck and shoulder met.

He waited. Every muscle locked.

The beast screamed at him to bite.

Ailsa didn’t pull away.

He didn’t want to hurt her, yet the beast needed her closer. Wanted her in its thrall, where it could protect her. Claim her.

And so, he gently nipped her soft skin.

Her reaction was swift, violent.

She screamed his name, her body shuddering and jerking as another climax rocked her.
