He leans down and kisses me again, one hand slipping between my legs to circle my clit with practiced precision, while the other pushes my dress up, sliding beneath it and under my bra to tease my nipples.

A moan escapes me, loud and unrestrained, as the pressure builds too fast, too intensely.

“Do you think you deserve to come, Thalia?” he whispers against my lips.

“I need to come, Ethan,” I admit, breathless, the desperation clear in my voice.

Nothing I could ever do on my own compares to this.

He lets out an amused laugh at that, pressing harder, his grip tightening as the orgasm crashes over me, intense and consuming, stealing the strength from my body as I collapse back.

He groans, biting my lower lip as his pace turns relentless, the table shaking beneath us with every thrust.

I wrap my arms around his neck again, pulling him closer, kissing him fiercely, our tongues tangling in a desperate, heated rhythm.

When I bite his lower lip, he jerks inside me, letting out a deep groan, and the sound sends another wave of pleasure through me.

And beneath all of it, beneath the passion and the chaos, one thought settles clearly in my mind.

I don’t know how I’m supposed to accept that this—this purely physical thing—is all I’ll ever have with Ethan Hardy.

But I do know one thing.

I don’t want to stop.

I can’t.

Because I want him too much.

And if this is the only way I get to have him…

Then so be it.

THIRTY-FOUR

Ethan

It’s Friday—a day most people wait for all week, clinging to the promise of two days filled with rest, distractions, and the illusion of freedom.

For me, it’s just another day.

Or at least… it would have been, if Thalia hadn’t spent every damn minute testing the limits of my patience, most likely without even realizing the effect she has on me.

I don’t know exactly which events she’s managing—whether it’s just John’s or others as well—but since early this morning she’s been moving nonstop, slipping from one meeting into the next, her assistant shadowing her every step like a second pulse.

And since that moment in the conference room—heated, reckless—we haven’t exchanged a single word.

I left the door open for her. I gave her the space to decide what she wants.

But I also made sure she understood exactly where the line is—and there’s nothing waiting for her beyond it.

Still… I can admit it.

She drives me out of my mind.

She’s the only woman who’s ever made me come back for more—again and again, like it’s not even a choice anymore, just instinct.

With Irina, it happened often too—but that was different. Predictable. Convenient. We were in the same place, using each other as a release valve for the pressure that never really lets up. Nothing deeper than that. The kind of attraction that exists between any man and woman when neither of them is looking for more.
