As the pleasure mounted, he joined our mouths. We kissed for a time until our coordination faltered and the race grew serious.

I trembled.

He whispered my name.

As the crest of my orgasm neared, Mordecai buried his face against my neck, the ghosting impression of his mouth resting hot against my skin. His tongue danced over the pulse point, licking, sucking, and tasting.

He drove his hips faster and harder, thrusting with such ferocity and determination that the bed knocked the wall.

I cradled his head. Clung to his hair. Sputtered words of encouragement when I could find them. Trapped between our bodies, my cock enjoyed steady friction.

“Ensley,” Mordecai murmured against my neck, his voice a quiet prayer. “Ensley. Oh, sweet bliss. You will be my demise.”

I couldn’t begin to comprehend what he meant.

A hot brush of his tongue against my overheated flesh short-circuited my brain.

His fingers dug bruises into my skin, clinging like he feared I might leave.

Then, he came on a growl, turning his face into the pillow as he cried out.

I felt every pulse as he filled me, and I gripped him firmly as he rode the high.

As his orgasm dissipated, I chased mine, getting a hand between us to aid the process. It bubbled and rose within me, tingling my nerve endings to life.

Mordecai found my mouth and kissed me with bruising force. Our tongues collided, dueling for dominance. A few more thrusts, and I unleashed on a gasp.

Foreheads together. Gazes locked.

I couldn’t catch my breath.

The entire experience left me dizzy and lightheaded. Mordecai collapsed into my arms, and I held him as my heart raced and the residual quivers of pleasure slowly subsided.

“Shit, that was good.”

He hummed in response, the vibrations tickling my skin. I felt his smile, and it fed my own.

Exhaustion hit like an anvil, and my limbs grew heavy. I stroked his hair and closed my eyes as the adrenaline drained from my system. Only then did the chill in the room return. Mordecai’s weight was a comforting blanket, but his skin was cool to touch.

“We should clean up and close that window before we freeze to death,” I mumbled.

“Another minute. Let me memorize this feeling so I never forget.”

I chuckled and held him tighter. “I’m not going anywhere. Even if I could move, which I can’t, I don’t fuck and flee. Not my style.”

“You’re a good man, Ensley.”

I thought of my dad and almost said, No, I’m not, but instead went with, “I try to be.”

Mordecai rolled to his side and stretched out long beside me. His fingers roved my bare chest. “Are you sore?”

“No. Tired. You wore me out.”

He pressed his palm over my heart, and despite the poorly lit room, he looked sad. Mournful.

I laid my hand over top of his and squeezed. “Are you okay?”

“Yes. Perfect. I can feel your heart beating. It’s beautiful.”
