I wait for answers, but he continues on as if the pair of them didn’t just drop a bomb in my lap. Is my brother fucking his niece?

Zane is going to crucify him.

“What the fuck is going on?”

Speak of the devil.

“Why is he dead?” Zane sneers toward Clint.

“It appears Jensen’s wife is having a bit of an episode,” Miko surmises.

“A bit of a fucking episode?” he booms, and I wince.

“I’m trying to locate Immie, at present. If you could keep your tone down, I’d appreciate it,” Miko says.

Zane’s face becomes redder, the vein on his temple pulsating. “Where the hell is she?” Zane asks, darting his gaze around the room as if she’s about to spring out and surprise us. Does he not realize the severity of our situation?

“If we knew that, she’d be here!” I snipe.

His face falls, and he studies my face. “Is she missing?” Zane asks, his tone softened.

Miko brushes his hand over his jaw. “It appears so.” Jesus, I exhale sharply to rein in my growing temper. “Jensen, can you think of anywhere Amanda might have taken her?”

A lump lodges in my throat before I clear it. “No. They didn’t particularly like spending time together.” She wouldn’t hurt Immie, would she? Who am I kidding? The woman hit her today, and God only knows what else she’s subjected her to.

This is all my fault. I’ve left Immie in the arms of a fucking monster.

“There’s a tracker in Clint’s car. Have you tried locating that?” Zane asks.

“Of course I fucking have. What do you take me for?” Miko snaps. “It’s been disarmed.”

Zane turns to face me. “And you’ve no clue where they might be?”

I exhale loudly and shake my head. “No.”

Miko continues tapping on the tablet, and each second feels like a lifetime. Where the hell are you, Immie? When he lifts his head, my heart seizes. “Brett Govner, father is Ralph Govner, he works as security in Rush, at The Basement, to be precise.”

“The Basement?” Zane looks to me. “Is that how Fen thought he procured access down there?”

“Get him on the phone and find out.” Miko gestures toward Zane. “Why the hell didn’t you gather this information sooner?” he seethes.

Zane grinds his jaw and turns his back on us to bring his phone to his ear.

My mind whirls through conversations until it stops on one. “Immie implied Amanda had told her she went to The Basement with me.” I shake my head. “I’ve never been there with her.”

Blood rushes through me as my adrenaline kicks in. She’s at The Basement, I know she is. I don’t know what game Amanda is playing, but it’s a dangerous one.

I’m going to fucking kill her.

“It looks like Amanda’s a regular at the club,” Miko says, his attention solely on the tablet. “But I can’t see that she’s meeting anyone in particular. She rents rooms, and it looks to me like anyone enters. They’re all different guys; nobody stands out. I’m assuming you wrapped your cock?” he asks, and I give him a firm nod. Damn right I did.

Zane turns back to us. “Fen admitted he paid Ralph off to give them all access.”

“She’s there. I feel it in here.” I tap my chest.

Zane gives me his full attention. “Then that’s where we’ll head.” I’m grateful for my brother not questioning me. “Should we call security?” he asks.

I shake my head. “Not yet. Amanda can be unpredictable. I’d rather talk her off whatever ledge she’s on.”
