“He ain’t come to play,” Creed spoke.

“You see it?!” I replied.

Deacon stepped into the cage and looked toward our section. Prime stood and yelled something that made him grin before the official brought him toward the center.

I glanced around while the introductions were being made. Our name was on the screens, the canvas and the backdrop where people would take their last pictures before leaving. Folks watching clips tomorrow were going to see Banks Grand no matter who won.

For a little while, I could focus on something I was proud of. I was grinning when Deacon raised his fists, already wanting to put another date on the calendar.

The timer had barely started before Deacon began pressing Raul.

Deacon jabbed Raul’s face, backing him up before landing a kick to his thigh. Raul swung a right, but Deacon slipped the punch and caught him with a quick one-two. Our whole section got loud as hell.

“Aye!” Prime shouted.

Raul backed away near the fence, but Deacon followed, cutting him off and landing another clean shot before he could reset.

“Okay, lil nigga,” I muttered, leaning forward.

He was quick. Even when Raul managed to block a few punches, Deacon kept coming at his ass. Deacon was already moving to the side, giving him something else to worry about.

Raul reached for him, trying to tie him up. Deacon shoved him off and drove a knee toward his body before they separated.

Cannon slapped Riot’s shoulder.

“You see that?”

“I’m looking at the same fight you looking at.”

“Then act excited, nigga.”

“I got money on this. I’m concentrating,” Riot replied.

Raul landed a punch that snapped Deacon’s head back. Deacon smiled, which made Quest groan.

He settled down quickly, brought his hands back up and went right back to work. Raul was already breathing through his nose. This wasn’t going to end well for him.

My phone vibrated while Deacon landed a combination that sent Raul back toward the fence. I couldn’t ignore it because it could’ve been Melody or Dream.

Bryce: I got a situation in the money room. Need you here ASAP. Bring as many men as you can.

I straightened up and read it again.

Quest noticed immediately.

“What’s good?”

“Bryce needs us.”

“Where?”

“Money room.”

I showed him the message as I stood. Prime looked up, and I motioned for him to come with us. The Kings took notice and stood up with us. Just before we could make a move, we heard a loud sound.

There was an explosion. It was a deep bang that sounded from the corridor, followed by a crash that shook the doors. My chair jolted against the back of my legs. Somebody screamed, and the people nearest the entrance ducked before half the room tried to stand at once.

For a second, I couldn’t hear anything clearly. Then the screaming got louder.
