“Yes, Daddy.”
He nodded and kept his eyes on the road.
I spent the rest of the ride wondering what that bitch had said to him.
When we pulled into the garage, I got out before he could tell me to grab my things. He was already looking at his phone.
I waited beside the door until he opened it, then followed him into the house. That bitch was back in our lives and that was a problem. I see now that I may never have Justice to myself. And it may be time to teach him a lesson.
“Storie, I gotta take you over to Quest’s house to spend the night with Mehar. I got a business thing to work on tonight.”
“Fine, Daddy.” I suppressed rolling my eyes.
We got back in his whip so that he could take me over there. I knew in my heart it was so that he could go be with that bitch Melody.

Dear Tavares,
I'm so sorry. I know that's probably the last thing you want to hear from me again, but please read this whole letter before you decide you hate me.
There was a mistake with the test.
The lab sent me an updated report, and you are my father. I put it in the envelope so you can see for yourself. Your name is right there, and it says 99.99%. I keep looking at it because I'm scared they're going to send something else and take you away from me again.
I don't understand how they could make a mistake like that. I told you not to come for me. I hurt your feelings and made you think my mother had lied when she was telling the truth.
I cried when I opened it. I was happy, but I kept thinking about you reading my other letter. You probably thought I didn't want you anymore.
I do. I want you so much, and I'm sorry I made you feel like you didn't matter.
I need your help.
I told you things were better here because I really thought they were. Justice has a girlfriend named Melody, and she hates me. She acts nice when other people are around, but she doesn't want me living here. She wants him to send me to boarding school so she can have him to herself. She cusses me out every day. Worst of all, she’s been in prison for killing her daughter. But Justice doesn’t care because he hates me.
I don't know where they would send me. What if you came home and nobody would tell you where I was?
I've tried to talk to him, but he believes her. She tells him I'm lying about everything. Now he goes through my room, and there are cameras all over the house. I feel like I'm in trouble even when I haven't done anything.
I'm scared of what she'll do if he doesn't send me away. I know this sounds crazy, but I think she could kill me. She would say it was an accident, and he would believe her because he already thinks everything is my fault.
I keep trying to be good so he'll remember he loves me. It isn't working.
Please come get me as soon as you get out. I know you have your own life to get back to, and I feel terrible asking you for anything after what I put you through. But I don't have anybody else who will believe me.
Please don't write me back here. Justice might find your letter when he goes through my things. If he knows I asked you to come, I'm scared he'll send me away before you can get here.
Just come to my school or the house. I'm putting both addresses below. You can also email me at [email protected]
