My brother holsters his gun and follows Andrea’s brother outside.
I turn to Bruno. “Leave two or three guys here to guard Tony’s men until the mission is complete, then have them dispose of all of them and their bodies. I don’t want them found at all.”
Bruno looks at the men. “All of them?”
“All of them,” I growl. “They could have helped us save our family members hours ago.”
Bruno nods and goes to speak to his men.
I turn back to Andrea. “Are you ready to go on a rescue mission?”
“The men should be here any minute,” Andrea says. “Do you have a weapons cache nearby? Or should I order my men to stop at one of ours?”
“No, they can come here,” I say, leading Andrea into an office.
He looks around, whistling. “I won’t lie, you have an impressive setup.”
I enter the code onto the pad on the other side of the room, and a door opens. “Thank you, I wouldn’t mind seeing yours sometime.”
“You’re welcome to,” Andrea follows me into the weapons room and smiles as he looks around.
“Help yourself,” I say, going to load up both my handguns and a sawed-off shotgun.
Andrea grabs extra ammunition and guns for himself, and we return to the office where we sit at the desk. Leroy, one of Andrea's men, brings us a copy of the information Roberto took down, and we look at it.
“It isn’t that far away. Jesus, they’ve been so close this entire time.”
Andrea looks at me. “That address can’t be more than an hour away.”
I pull out a tablet and pull up the Google Earth view of the property. “It’s just under an hour away, and it looks like a fortress surrounded by nature. If Tony knows we have his men, they might try to move or hurt them.”
“Then we need to move sooner rather than later,” Andrea says, desperation in his voice. “I’ll never forgive myself if something happens to them.”
I shake my head. “We need the recon from our brothers, and we need a plan. If we send the men down different routes and arrive from various sides, we can at least not look like a mob arriving on the doorstep of a gang’s hideout about to take them down. We need to be as covert as possible.”
“I agree,” Andrea says. “Drop to street view. Let's see what it looks like.”
We talk about it, planning the routes the men can take from where we currently are. Francesco calls, and we put him on speakerphone.
“Right, we’ve scoped it out. They’re inside, I’m sure of it. There are steel doors and barred windows, so it’s going to be difficult to access the building from any side. Ten men are guarding the outside, all armed to the teeth, and they look like decent fighters.”
He pauses as Cosimo whispers something to him.
“Cosimo agrees with me that it’s difficult to see inside. We spotted at least seven men through the windows, but there could be more. There’s room for many more.”
“Did you see Gia and Giovanni?” I ask.
“We don’t have a confirmed sighting of them,” Francesco says. “We feel with all this muscle and guns this must be where they’re holding them.”
I sigh. “But we don’t know where in the building they are?” I ask.
“No,” Francesco says quietly.
Cosimo whispers again, and Andrea asks. “What was that?”
“We could send in teams to take out the men while we sweep the building for Giovanni and Gia.” Francesco pauses as Cosimo whispers again. “But the men must be kept busy so we can get to them before anyone else does. We need to hit them hard, and I agree with that.”
I didn’t notice Bruno and Lorenzo come into the room, but I assume they’ve heard everything.
