If she wasn’t Reaper’s sister, looking like a damn goddess with golden hair halfway down her back, the darkest blue eyes I’ve ever seen, and lips that could put a grown-ass man like me on his knees, I’d throw her over my shoulder and carry her to my bed. No doubt she’d be kicking and screaming.
A fucking angel, that’s what she is.
An angel I’ve tried to rid from my system for years.
Trouble is? This angel comes with a dirty mouth and too much baggage.
I wasn’t kidding. Sapphire gets into altercations quicker than I can blink. Exhibit A: She’s been in town merely a few hours, and she almost started a riot.
I admit that chick’s nose breaking was sweetly satisfying, considering she was the one who was picking the fight. And the way Sapphire took down that big oaf? I have to give her a gold star for impact.
The issue is, Sapphire knows she’s all that, so giving her any credit will just go to her head.
After I hand the keys over to Squirrel, she drags her feet—in true Stiletto style. Damn, those killer hot-pink heels make her legs look like she belongs on a damn runway. They could be a fucking weapon if I’ve ever seen one; the spike on the heel looks deadly.
My dick, already hard from her wrapping that sweet-as-fuck body around me, doubles in fucking size when my mind short-circuits to us in bed, her wearing only those heels.
“You’re a buzz kill.” She sighs.
“And you’re a pain in the ass. We don’t need any trouble with the Dirty Crows. Those dickwads you took down are associated with them.”
The Dirty Crows MC are a rival gang across town. Any excuse to start a fucking war and they’d take it.
“You’d think I just kicked the damn club prez in the nuts or something,” she complains. “Get a grip.”
“Just as bad. He’s a brother.”
“He didn’t have a cut or a patch. How was I meant to know that?”
“Shut up and keep moving.”
“You know, I don’t have to do what you say,” she balks. “I’m only coming with you because I can’t get back there to retrieve my stuff.”
“Told you. Prospects will get your shit. I don’t wanna hear anythin’ else come outta your mouth.”
“Let me guess, you’re gonna go running to Wrath and squeal like a little girl?”
Wrath is my club Prez, and she’s already stepping out of line even talking like that.
I move closer, making her flinch. Sapphire has no clue, but I’ve kept my eye on her over the years. Not just as a favor to Reaper, who worries about her, but also because I can’t fucking help myself.
“Not gonna do shit if you keep your cool in here.”
She spins to face me. “You’re still the same, grumpy as ever. I know how MC’s work, I’m in one.”
“Yeah? Well, you’re the same sassy little wise ass who hasn’t learned to cool her temper.”
“That bitch got in my face. She actually thought I wanted that fat piece of shit boyfriend of hers.” She makes a disgusted sneer. “Do I look desperate to you?”
I step closer, and she doesn’t pull back. “What’s really goin’ on? Rumor has it, the Stilettos are under threat, is that true?”
She frowns. “No. We have it under control.”
A few weeks back, Diamond told Wrath the club had been propositioned by some asshole neighbor who wants to buy her out and use her land to build some monstrosity. A fucking resort, no less, and this Lanzetti dude has been paying other landowners off under the table. Ever since she turned them down, Lanzetti has used threatening tactics to try to flush them out and get their way.
It’s almost comical, because we all know how stubborn Diamond can be. Add Sapphire into the mix, and you’ve got yourself one hell of a shitstorm. These women aren’t to be messed with.
They may look hot and glamorous, in their leather cuts, stilettos, and red fucking lipstick, but we all know Diamond’s fury knows no bounds. And Sapphire? She’s a damn spitfire from way back.
