“Ouch,” he says, touching his fingers to his ruined hole. “Am I bleeding?”

I check. “A touch. No major damage.”

“Phew. I thought you might have turned me inside out.”

“Almost.” I ruffle his hair. “You did great. Your ass is heaven.”

He winces as he rolls over. His dick is rock hard again, up to his bellybutton.

“How about I get a go on yours now? I’ve got another load, and I know where I’d like to shoot it.”

I get off the bed, and hold out a hand to help him up.

“Let’s finish that beer first. Then who knows?”

“Fine, yeah.” He smiles as he gets to his feet. “I could do with one after that.”

I already know full well where Bryce will be shooting his load tonight, but I don’t tell him.

I’m not giving up my ass yet. I’ll be pushing the powerplay to the max before that happens, and even then, he’ll have to fight me for it.

He gets a slap on his sore butt as he passes me, grinning back at me as we go get our beers.

Yeah, I’m gonna enjoy fighting Bryce for ass power when the time comes, but right now, it seems I’m more interested in the man himself.

That’s a first for me in years.

Go fucking figure.

CHAPTER FOUR

BRYCE

My head is thumping like a beast when I wake up. I blink in a haze before my eyes adjust to the light, and then it hits me.

It’s light.

Way too light.

I grapple for my phone from the bedside table, my heart racing as I see the missed alarms. Oh hell, I’m going to be fucking late.

Me? Late? I never…

I gasp in shock at Jack’s perfect body splayed out in bed next to me. He’s flat out asleep, breathing deep as I ease myself out of the covers. Damn and double fucking damn. This is madness.

I bolt for the bathroom and shower in a frenzy, cursing myself for being so reckless.

I’ve got figures to present before the latest merger goes through tomorrow, and I’ll need to be at my best, not nursing a hangover and a burning asshole.

I rush back through to the bedroom to get dressed, eager for another glimpse of the sleeping beauty, but the covers are cast aside and the bed is empty.

“Jack?” I call, but there’s no answer.

Even through my panic I get a horrible lurch that he’s upped and left, a one-nighter never to be seen again. Fuck it, farewell, partner. We haven’t even swapped numbers. I’ll have to worry about that later. Right now, I’ve got to get the hell out of here.

I pull on fresh boxers and grab a shirt, buttoning it up with fumbling fingers. Trousers, tie, socks, hopping around in a frenzy. I’m out of breath as I reach the kitchen, needing some painkillers before I race out of the door.

Hell, my heart skips a beat at the sight that greets me.
