Crow's body went rigid. “Don't listen to him.”

Razor ignored him. “I didn't kill Viper.”

“Bullshit,” Crow growled.

“I gave the order,” he said. Angel felt sick, and Razor smiled at her. “But I wasn't the man who pulled the trigger.” She didn't care—not really. An order made him just as guilty. Hell, it made him more guilty.

“Who pulled the trigger?” she asked.

Crow stepped in front of her. “Angel, don't.”

She moved around him. “Who killed my father?”

Razor studied her, and then his smile returned. “That's the wrong question.”

“What the fuck does that mean?” she spat.

“You should be asking why Shadow helped me do it,” he said.

The world stopped, and Angel stared at him. “No.” Crow swore, and Razor's eyes stayed locked on hers. “No,” Angel repeated.

“Gabriel loved you,” Razor said. “But he loved that patch more.”

“You're lying,” she spat.

“Am I?” he questioned.

“Yes,” she said.

“Then ask Crow,” he said.

Angel looked at him, and Crow wouldn't meet her eyes. Her stomach dropped. “Crow, look at me.” He didn't. “Crow!” He turned away from her slowly, and the guilt on his face destroyed something inside her.

“Lina—” he started.

“No,” she breathed.

“Shadow didn't know everything,” Crow said.

She backed away from him. “You knew?”

“I knew he was there,” he said. Angel couldn't breathe, and Razor smiled.

“Your precious Shadow helped put Viper exactly where we needed him the night he died.”

Angel's gun trembled in her hands. “No.”

“And that's not even the best part,” Razor said.

Crow aimed his gun at Razor. “Shut your fucking mouth.”

Razor laughed. Angel looked between them. “What’s the best part?” she asked.

“Lina, don't,” Crow warned.

She ignored him. “What’s the best part?”

Razor's smile widened. “The part where Shadow spent the next six months trying to undo what he'd done.” Angel's heart slammed against her ribs. “And when he finally decided to tell you the truth?” Razor paused, and Angel knew what came next. She didn't want to hear it, but she had to.
