“Quick refractory period?” I joked.

“You have no idea.” In a swift motion, Wells rolled me over and I was seated on top of him. His hands were holding my ass, squeezing with just the right amount of pressure.

I lowered my mouth to his ear, “I’ve never ridden a cowboy before.”

Goosebumps popped up on his neck. “Allow me to be the first.”

I positioned myself over him and he was already hard. I slowly sank down, stretching around him. I rolled my hips slowly, seeing how I could watch Wells unravel beneath me.

Wells moaned in response, his head fell back onto the pillow.

“I hope this is okay for you,” I teased, speeding up my pace.

“This is the best sex I’ve ever had.” He was in pure ecstasy.

Wells groaned as I picked up my pace. I wanted the satisfaction of making him come. I rocked my hips back and forth, making myself close in the process. Wells somehow sat up pressing his back against the headboard, all while still inside me. He left one hand on my ass, still squeezing while the other moved to my breast, filling his palm. He took my nipple in his mouth, licking in circles that ignited every nerve ending in my body.

I gripped the headboard to get some more leverage. I was able to shift on my knees to ride better. Between Wells hitting my sensitive spot and the grabbing and squeezing, we both came unwound. Our breaths were ragged and I collapsed on top of him, waves of pleasure rippling through me.

Both of us stayed in position, bodies sweaty, pressed up against each other, panting.

The quiet promise that nothing between us would be the same after tonight hung in the air.

OUR SONG

The morning sun peeked through the slats in the curtains, painting lazy golden streaks across the bed. I blinked against the soft light, the hazy warmth of sleep still wrapped around me.

And then I felt it.

The weight of an arm draped across my waist. The steady rise and fall of breath against the back of my neck.

Wells.

A slow, dreamy smile pulled at my lips as I shifted slightly beneath the covers. The movement stirred him, and his grip instinctively tightened, pulling me closer against his chest.

I exhaled a quiet laugh. “You awake?”

A low, sleepy groan rumbled from behind me. “Mm.”

I turned my head just enough to glance at him over my shoulder. His eyes were still closed, but there was the faintest trace of a smirk at the corner of his lips.

“Is that a yes or a no?” I teased.

His voice was thick with sleep. “Dunno. What answer keeps you in my arms longer?”

My heart flipped. “Smooth.”

Finally, he cracked one eye open, his gaze soft and lazy, his grip on me firm but gentle. “Morning.”

Something about the way he said it made my chest feel too tight, like my heart was expanding too fast to keep up.

“Morning,” I whispered back, rolling onto my back.

Wells studied me for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then, before I could overthink it, he leaned in, pressing a slow, lingering kiss to my shoulder.

“Last night…” he started, voice rasping against my skin.

I swallowed hard, suddenly nervous. “What about it?”
