“You truly have no idea; how crazy your husband gets when it comes to you.” Trust me, I know.

“Knox's visit is a surprise,” I retort, not exactly sure why I need to explain my position to Ken.

“Just be smart, the gala is in a few days, and it won’t be pretty if Naseer gets out of hand.”

“I’m sure everything would be fine,” I state, trying to convince us both.

“For all our sake, I hope so,” he says walking away. fuck!

Much as it is a nice gesture for Knox to show up, Naseer doesn’t know how to play nice. I need Tito and Taimani to help me clear this mess.

Arriving at the office. I haven’t seen Jade. She has refused to take my calls since crazy Chloe visited. Everyone tells me she has been working and nothing exciting. She had met with James and that seemed to have gone well, though it upset me that she kissed him, but his chapter in her life is now officially closed. She’s overworking herself in her bid to wrap up the contract soon and leave.

The deal finally wrapped up yesterday and I left immediately, I called Jade’s bodyguard who informed me her fiancée surprised her yesterday, He’s in Rhanaz.

That news doesn’t sit well with me. Fuck! She’s going to gravitate towards him, everything always goes wrong whenever I have my best-laid plan where Jade is concerned maybe you need to stop planning that’s an option that isn’t possible.

My mind drifted to the very first time I had everything planned for Jade and me and how Nadra had ruined it. I will never forget how beautiful she looked that night before, Nadra slapped her.

The gala is tonight, and I know she will bring Knox. Which makes things messy for us, I need to speak with her before tonight.

I head to her office and Lucy jumps right up. “She’s in a meeting,” she says too quickly, always trying to be Jade’s protective barrier like her little self can make a dent in stopping me. Amusing is all I can say about Little Miss Barrier.

“I don’t care and hold all her calls till I leave.” She moves out of my way when she notices my stern face and my movement is about to knock her over. I open the door to speak with Jade.

Her team is with her except Orion. What catches my eye is the fact, Kelan is hugging her and kissing her cheek. I’ve had enough of this guy.

“Everyone out!” I shout without taking my eyes off the man who has my wife in his arms. He finally notices my glare and drops his hand. The others briskly leave. As Kelan heads to me. I block his path out. He looks at me without speaking. Non-verbally telling me to move.

“I’ve been very patient not anymore. I’ll break your fingers the next time you put your hands on Mariam. I don’t care if you guys are friends, stop touching her.” He nods, and I step out of his way. Then turn my face to my wife whose eyes are blazing like a dragon’s fire breath with hands folded and a defiance stance.

“I would think we are older and more mature now considering the fact we’ve both committed adultery. I’m just not sure why it matters to you how I comfort my friends,” she says through gritted teeth, trying to stare me down. I’m too wired to be moved by her stare and angry face.

“Dear wife, if it matters to you and if you want him to remain in Rhanaz, you will tell him to keep his hands off you.” I moved closer but maintained a decent space between us.

She gives a sad chuckle. “Did you keep your dick out of the pussies of intimate experience lady or ladies last night and every night before the last, do you see me fuzzing about which panty you pulled down with your teeth. Stay out of my business Naseer and stop harassing my friends.” Damn, this woman. “You do know we can amicably divorce, that way when I file, I won’t have to ask for half your wealth.” I take a seat and give a mischievous smile. She just gave me armor, without realizing it.

“Please go ahead and file the divorce.” I watch her face light up in shock. “Be aware I’m going to ask for a paternity test and shared custody of the children.” Her demeanor changes right away, her body stiffens as her eyes glare at me. “So, while you’re asking for half my wealth which I would give by the way without a fight. I’m sure you will understand why I would need a paternity test because as far as the law is concerned, I’m the twins’ father.”

“You are not their father, stay away from my children,” she says, the dark side is about to appear, but she exhales and tries to control her anger. “Fine I don’t want your money just a divorce.” Tsk Tsk. I just hit a nerve.

“I already told you … no divorce, Jade. I’m sorry about Chloe coming to see you,” I succinctly state. I know her well enough to know she’s angry and jealous of Chloe. Even as she feigns like she could care less about my whereabouts.

“I don’t care about her, Naseer I slept with other men, and I think it’s smart for us to divorce,” she says watching my face for the usual anger. Good one Jade but I can see right through this game.

“Those men are dalliances, they’re not your last,” I state causing her to catch her breath. “It’s more painful for me to live without you than the knowledge of other men in your bed, so stop asking me for something I can’t give.”

“Kelan is my friend, I need you to understand that and treat him that way,” she says changing the subject, rather than agreeing or giving a response that might anger her, I decided to ask a question.

“You refused to take my calls or respond to my text, now your boyfriend is here. Are you bringing him to the gala tonight?”

“Fiancé,” she corrects. “Yes, he’s coming with me tonight since I don’t have any prepared or valid lie to tell him.” I get the insinuated remark.

“I’ve never lied to you, Jade. I’m no saint. I have used Chloe’s services, yes, and I haven’t called her services since I laid eyes on you. We’ll talk later just not here in the office. I watch as her body relaxes.
