There was a spark of excitement in her eyes that flared up at his response and he caught it just before she tamped it down. “I’m just the only other single Little that she knows.”

“I don’t think that’s it,” Beau murmured, looking her up and down. He couldn’t deny that Tessa intrigued him. While he adored Jilly, she’d always been more Dax’s type than his. Jilly was sweet and agreeable, a good girl who needed pampering more than punishment. Beau liked to give a good mix of both. He leaned more toward brats who weren’t afraid to rock the boat. “Why don’t you sit down and talk to us?”

Tessa hesitated, glancing to where Jilly was still sitting at a machine. Beau followed her gaze. She didn’t seem to be playing anymore. Just sitting. “We need to be back by bedtime.”

“And when is that?”

Tessa pulled her phone out of her pocket and glanced at the home screen. “Thirty minutes.”

“We could talk for twenty,” Beau offered, “or fifteen even.”

She wanted to say yes, he could tell, but he could also tell that she still felt awkward. He didn’t blame her. It was an awkward situation.

Squeezing Dax’s hand, he willed him to speak. Dax had a gift for putting people at ease.

“Fifteen minutes isn’t enough time to get to know each other,” Dax conceded. “But it is enough time for us to exchange numbers, and maybe arrange to eat breakfast together in the morning.” He offered a beaming smile, dimples and all. “Like Beau said, we respect the hell out of Jilly, and if she thinks this is a good idea, we owe it to her to at least figure out if she’s right.”

The tension in Tessa’s shoulders faded a bit, and Beau leaned back in his seat, content to watch a master at work.

“Besides,” Dax continued, his gaze roaming up and down Tessa’s lithe figure, “you are definitely Beau’s type.”

“I am?” She brightened, her smile wide and genuine. Then she frowned. “But am I yours?”

Dax relaxed in his chair, his laid-back stance mirroring Beau’s. “I don’t know. I’ve never had a brat before.” He grinned, a mischievous grin that made Beau grimace. “It could be fun. Maybe we could get up to some trouble together every once in a while, really give Beau a run for his money.”

“Oh.” Her brows furrowed and Beau watched as she processed the innuendo, obviously taken aback by the implication. “Oh!” she exclaimed, a slow grin spreading across her face. “That sounds fun. I could be down for that.”

“Good. So why don’t we all exchange numbers and meet down here tomorrow for breakfast? We can talk and just get to know each other.”

“Okay. If you’re sure. I mean… it’s okay if you don’t really want to.” Her initial awkward hesitation was back.

Dax squeezed Beau’s hand, tagging him in.

“Oh, we definitely want to,” Beau said, reaching for her phone and taking it from her hand to put their numbers in.

Chapter Three

Tessa

Tessa bounced out of bed at 7 a.m. after tossing and turning all night.

She wasn’t normally a morning person, but today felt different. Her body hummed as if it knew she was on the cusp of something big. Something like potentially getting herself two of the hottest Daddies she’d ever seen.

After spending months wondering about the relationship between Beau and Dax, she’d been surprised last night to figure out what it actually was, and curious what that would mean for a Little they took on. Dax was obviously submissive to Beau, but Jilly was sure they were both Daddies. What did that look like? How did it work? Did they Daddy each other? She didn’t think so. It was pretty clear watching them that the power was on Beau’s side. Adding it to the list of things she wanted to talk to them about, she grabbed a fresh pull-up from her drawer, and one of her favorite outfits, a bright yellow sundress with little white flowers and a matching diaper cover. She grabbed white jellies for her feet and a thick yellow headband for her hair.

She fussed over getting ready for much longer than usual, painting her lips with tinted ChapStick and adding a necklace, earrings and a purse. Then, when she couldn’t find a single extra accessory to add or a hair to fuss over, she made her bed, grabbed her stuffed giraffe, Gus, for good measure, and walked out of her room. Jilly was still sleeping.

“Good morning. Why are you up and where are you going so early this morning?” Baze greeted her with raised brows and a look of curious suspicion.

Tessa sighed, realizing Baze had no idea at all of the events that had transpired the night before. She almost didn’t feel like sharing, but she knew she’d need Baze’s approval before allowing herself to enter a dynamic with only one Daddy, much less two. Besides that, she had time to kill, and nothing else to do so she flopped down on the chair across from him and told the story.

It came out rambly and all over the place, but it felt good to tell someone. When they’d gotten back to the suite last night, there’d barely been time to get their jammies on and crawl into bed before Baze came around and did lights out, sending them to bed.

“So, now we are planning to have breakfast together this morning to get to know each other and see if there is anything to Jilly’s idea that is worth exploring,” she said, summing it all up.

When she finished, Baze looked a bit shell-shocked, wearing the same confused expression he’d had on before she’d started. He didn’t look upset but he also didn’t look happy.

“Are you mad?” Tessa asked, her stomach in knots.
