A naked torso has been strung upside down with chains, more fake blood dripping from the tips of its fingers and the severed hole where its head should have been. It’s directly at eye level.

And that’s not all. Decapitated heads hang in cages from the ceiling. I’m starting to hope the guys catch up with me sooner than later. Maybe I’m really not cut out for a haunted funhouse after all.

I keep following the route around until I find myself in another narrow, dark corridor.

Everything shakes around me, almost knocking me off my feet. The walls of the corridor taper, farther and farther, until I worry I won’t be able to get through, despite my small frame, then they widen again, and I realize even the walls are on some kind of mechanical lever.

An alarm blares around me, followed by more screams, this time male, and I can’t stop my thoughts going to my men and hoping they’re all right. I tell myself I am being silly and of course they are. As if any of them would be screaming like that because of some fake dead bodies and moving hallways.

I enter a room full of mirrors. My reflection is shown back to me multiple times over, growing smaller and smaller. It’s hard to tell where I’m supposed to walk or where I’ll just bang into another mirror. The darkness and flashing lights don’t help either.

In the mirrors, I spot the swirl of a dark robe.

Catching my breath, I spin around, hoping to see whoever it was. Roman? Mal? Cain? I have no idea. My heart beats ever faster. Someone is here, though, I can feel it, their watchful, hungry eyes on me.

I keep going, but only a matter of seconds pass before I catch sight of another reflection in the mirror. The white mask and dark hair. Malachi. It’s impossible to stay hidden in this space, not with so many mirrors reflecting every angle, but actually finding the person they’re reflecting is another story. I struggle to get my bearings, especially as lights flash and foreboding music plays over the speakers.

Strong arms suddenly wrap around my waist, hauling me off my feet.

“Got you,” a masculine voice growls against my ear.

Playing the game, I shriek and kick the air. He sets me down again, but not before pushing his hand up beneath my skirt and cupping my pussy from behind, finding my panties already damp, before letting me go.

I scream and run, or at least run the best I can when I still have to navigate my way through the mirrors. Every so often, I catch another glimpse of a cloak or a mask, and I wonder if Malachi isn’t the only one who’s in here.

I feel better now I know the men are close. It’s silly to find this scary when it’s just a children’s funfair installment, but it does all feel very real.

Somehow, I make it out of the mirror room, and I find myself standing in front of some steps leading down. At the bottom is a kind of hatch, like the kind you might find over an old coal cellar, and I must have stepped on a trigger mechanism as the hatch splits down the middle and springs open. There’s a sign warning not to enter, but I guess that’s all for effect?

Something about it gives me pause, though. I’d entered on the first level of the funhouse, yet these steps go down. Is there something beneath the structure of the funhouse? I’d assumed it was all just machinery—after all, all this noise and movement must take plenty of power.

Movement comes from behind me, and I remember I’m being chased. The guys have put a lot of thought and effort into making this evening fun for us, and I don’t want to spoil it by being a wimp. I make my way down the steps and find myself in a low-ceilinged space.

It’s still lit up and decorated, like the rest of the funhouse, but to a lesser degree, and it has a different feel to it now. There’s a slightly dank scent, and trepidation begins to win over the excitement. I’m in a tunnel, but it’s darker than the part of the funhouse above. I keep going, glancing over my shoulder to see if Malachi is behind me. Hoping that one of them is.

As I turn back around, I slam directly into a solid male body, and all the air rushes from me.

I don’t have time to register who it is or to try to make out his mask in the dim light because he twists me around and pushes me against the dirt wall.

Still, it doesn’t matter which Preacher has me in his grasp. I want them all, and I’m just glad one of them found me.

In seconds, his hand is in my panties, then rough fingers push inside me. I let out a cry and his other hand covers my mouth, silencing me. Oh, God. I gush around his fingers as he pumps into my pussy and my legs tremble. The whole chase has been like foreplay, with adrenaline making me wet with anticipation, so I was ready for the rough treatment. Pleasure builds with each thrust, my stomach muscles tightening and heat gathering at my core. Is he going to fuck me like this? In my silly little dress, it’s easy enough for him to do exactly that. It would be hot as hell to be fucked up against this wall in this darkened cellar, dressed in a slutty nurse’s outfit, but it’s not to be. He pulls his fingers from my body and smears them across my lips, so I taste myself.

“Run,” he growls, and then shoves me away, farther down the tunnel.

The lights blink off, leaving only a few red safety lights glowing in the wall, providing barely any light. I stumble in the dark, panic hitting me hard. Even when I try to look over my shoulder, I can’t see who had a hold on me. It’s far too dark now for me to make much of anything out. There’s still music and screams and a strange grinding sound layered beneath the racket. The whole experience is disorienting and scary, but I’m wet between my thighs and eager to find out what my next encounter will be.

OPHELIA

I skitter down the hallway, running as fast as I can, but I’m not sure if I’m running from something or toward it.

My men have chased me many times, but it’s never felt quite as primal or as raw as this.

My heart pounding, I round the corner and come to a halt. In front of me is nothing but a heavy locked door. The padlock on it is old and rusty.

It makes me think of something dreadful beyond. I shiver. What the hell is this place?
