“Go fuck yourself, brother,” Lucrezia said in a fake saccharine voice.

“Oh, I’ll fuck something, alright,” he retorted. “Or somebody.”

Then he slammed the door as hard as he could.

BANG!

I stared at Cesare in shock as he stomped over to the Maserati.

…what the fuck just happened?

Cesare paused at the driver’s door and screamed, “GET IN!”

I hustled over to the passenger side.

Cesare slid behind the wheel, but he didn’t start the engine. He just gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white, and he stared at the house like he was insane.

Then he turned his head slowly and glared at me. “Do you want to fuck her?”

…what?!

“Uhhhh – no.”

“WHY NOT?” he roared.

…WHAT?!

“She’s your sister, man,” I murmured. “I wouldn’t disrespect you like that.”

That seemed to calm him down.

“Goddamn right you wouldn’t,” he snarled, then breathed out raggedly as he cranked the engine. “Be the last goddamn thing you ever did.”

…o-kaaaaay…

Cesare stared at the house some more – then suddenly laughed. “Fuckin’ bitch, tryin’ to make me jealous…”

My eyes widened, but I didn’t say anything.

O-Kaaaaay…

Cesare turned to me and smirked. “She cheated on me a few years ago, y’know.”

I kept my face as blank as a marble statue’s. “She… cheated on you…?”

“Yeah, with some fuckin’ moron who worked for us.”

I still couldn’t get over the ‘cheated on me’ part. I frowned, hoping I was dreadfully wrong.

“…so… the two of you are…?”

“Ohhh yeah,” Cesare leered. “Since there was grass on the playing field, if you know what I mean.”

Revulsion flooded my body. I felt like I might puke.

“That’s why she wears sunglasses all the time,” Cesare said with a chuckle. “Cuz I fucked up one of her eyes to teach her a lesson.”

My disgust turned to icy dread.
